they reject every claim. you will need to take them to court either by small claims or by no win no fee company. technical faults have been determined to NOT be extraordinary circumstances so you should win.

On the face of it you have a very good case but, as NoviceAngel says, we need more details of the circumstances that led to the delay.
Were you already boarded when the fault occurred? How and when were you informed?

BBC regional news today broadcasted that passenger numbers from Leeds/Bradford airport are down 1.5% on last year. A trend apparently not reflected in the aviation numbers nationally. I wonder why? Disgruntled passengers voting with their feet no doubt.

Surely an 'extraordinary circumstance'? It couldn't possibly be the fault of Jet2, they are perfect remember.

Me thinks it is the relatively poor destination choice served by LBA, compared to say Liverpool or Newcastle, and certainly Manchester. Very few domestic flights, almost non to London and the rest all "bargain"holiday flights (quite a few by our friends above)
Also not helped by poor accessabilty. Anybody near the M62 finds it easier to go to Manchester.

Absolutely and the car parking is sooo much cheaper in Manchester, I do like LBA though and it's still my airport of choice living in Leeds, I like it because it's simply less hassle than Manchester, so much smaller and less hectic.
