Hi All, I just received the usual reply from Jet2 on my claim that my flight was delayed in 2011 and they can not consider any claims older than 2 years...
I read the FAQ s and I see that I still can claim, but can anyone send me a template letter how to do it?
Thanks a lot0 -

If you want it done for you, you'll need to pay.0 -
Hi folks,
I was delayed just less than 12 hours with Jet2 back in Sept 2007 and only found out recently that its possible to claim. Its annoyed me all of this time, and I haven't flown with Jet2 since as we got no compensation at the time. It was due to technical difficulties but we lost a full day from our holiday.
I wrote to Jet 2 a couple of weeks ago with the template letter and got the response that they could only look at claims within the last 2 years. I will write another letter indicating i am unhappy with this response and that under EU rules they have to look at claims back to Feb 2005. However on the CAA online form, they ask for flight number which I don't have. I have proof of booking (credit card statement) and the date i flew (13th Sept 2007 from BFS to Malaga) but thats it. Can anyone help with that?0 -
No one can help, Turbogirl, because you are out of time. (It's six years)0

You also missed the Flightstats details in the FAQs
You can indeed make a claim for flights back to 2005, however the airline can quite happily reject your claim or ignore you, safe in the knowledge that you are too late to take them to court (which is where Jet2 claims appear to need to go)
You would need to have started court proceedings by September 20130 -
