I've had the privilege of a response from someone called (text removed by MSE Forum Team), Team Leader in their Customer Care (or 'don't care') Team, and as Steve says, you do need to write to them first before going taking this anywhere else, so they can at least tell you about extraordinary circumstances, why they wont pay compensation, etc.0

I think the key thing is to keep it to one letter - and make that your NBA. So basically, please can I have my compensation, if I don't receive this within X days, I reserve the right to start legal action with no further notice (or whatever the template kindly provided on the forum say). If you just make a claim in your letter, chances are it will be refused which then leaves you having to send another as your NBA. If you do go the "one letter" route, you probably need to allow more than the 14 days sometimes referred to, which is appropriate where there has been previous correspondence.0 -
I've sent off my NBA letter and have read through all the pages for the Jet2 forum. My question is with the 5 year rule does it count from the 1st contact with the airline or from the date of the delay? In other words due to all the delays from the airlines are all claims about to expire from 2008 and before? :j0

Scottish 5 year threshold relates to submission of a COURT claim after the delay date.0 -

Delay, that's the event that gives rise to the compensation claim. In other words due to all the delays from the airlines are all claims about to expire from 2008 and before?
Five years ago is 12/2/2009 so 2008 is long past for claims in Scottish law.0 -
Thanks for the prompt replies thought that was the case :beer:0

That's very interesting Coby. So can anyone in Scotland issue in England?0
