Sue, I've not read your postings so am not commenting on your case. One of the reasons the forum is becoming more difficult for people to use is the number of times questions are asked which indicate that no attempt whatsoever has been made to do the most basic of research such as reading the FAQs. I've said before this is a self-help forum, not the Citizens' Advice Bureau. If people do the rest of us the courtesy of using the forum responsibly and make an effort themselves, they will not be short of help from regular posters.

I agree totally, some people are lazy but also some people are not able to find the answer for their question and dont feel like having to ask yet another question. I am sure some people reading this will understand my point.

However, like I said, I do understand and I admit that I sometimes ask questions when I am in a rush instead of searching myself but I like to think upto now I have got this far mainly on my own by researching and following links that have been helpfully provided.

It was just a thought.

It's not an unfair point at all Sue - but I promise you that even if the collective expertise of the people here produced such an amazing document, very quickly it would get buried and people would start to ignore it.

You are also right that the only way to get prepped for this is to research the posts and follow the links. To be clear, I'm not suggesting you are being lazy.

Maybe we need a sticky on page one where almost all the answers could easily be found? I'm certain folk won't ignore that! Oh, er, hold on ...

Sue, nothing prepares a forum member better for the ordeal that lays ahead than reading thru the majority of posts, even other airlines threads. A claimant really needs to know the arguements inside out/back to front to have a chance of dealing with the airlines

Ok so I've just about recovered from being accused of the greatest sin ever ' Media Tart' and an unhappy one at that......!!!!;);)

Form A is one I get plenty of questions about,
Firstly check with the court that you intend to use that they are aware of the ESCP and of course form A, when you have secured this, the court address goes in Section 1.

Section 2 is where your details need to go.

Section 3 is the defendants details, so use this address :-

Ryanair Corporate Head Office
Dublin Airport
Dublin
Ireland

Section 4
Tick 4.2 Domicile of the consumer

Section 5
5.1 England/Wales/Scotland wherever you are in the UK
5.2 Ireland
5.3 The country of the court you are using (usually in your own country)

Section 6
Tick however you intend to pay the court fee, and fill in your bank details in 6.2 for the defendant to pay your bank account.

Section 7
7.1 The total amount you are claiming for ALL passengers in your party.
The currency is euros.
7.3.1 Yes
7.3.3 Enter the amount here ( check with your court the costs).
7.4 Yes and tick statutory
7.4.2 Put the date in 1 day after your delayed/cancelled flight.

Section 8
8.1
Use a separate sheet if needed and give details of your claim,
Myself and my family were delayed x hours from x to x on date xxxx and are pursuing a claim under EU reg 261/2004 for x amount for the x members in our party, or something similar.
8.2
If you have any evidence or responses from Ryanair then detail them here.
Eg proof of the length of your delay, your LBA/ NBA and any response you have had.
8.3 NO, you do not want an oral hearing held. RA hate this!

Section 9
Tick Yes.

Section 10
Your name and signature, get the other members in your party to sign too, and for minors sign on their behalf.

All done?
Three copies needed for your court remember and the relevant fee.

Then sit back and wait.......
