I'll bet O'Leary looked less pleased....!
Successfully sued Ryanair in 2013/14...and have been 'helping' litigants since then.

    Current known score:-
Dr Watson 35 - 0 Ryanair / Ince and Co

Go to post 622 on the Ryanair thread to read how to sue them safely.

Hi, our flight was delayed 10 hours with very little notice- speaking to the cabin crew it seemed that it was a staffing problem when converting from winter to summer schedule.

I submitted a claim under EU rules and received an email back from Ryanair that I could submit my "reasonable" claims for any payments made during the delay.

Should I just submit my claim for expenses or should I try to go for the full compensation claim? Would value any advice that this board has.

    Thank you.

Subject to what expenses you have in mind, you can claim both.

All the advice the board has is contained in the FAQs.

Thanks- I submitted the letter of EU compensation but they seem to have ignored it and just said to submit expenses. Do I need to write that I am claiming compensation again in my reply? Thanks.
  • Hi
I had a 9 and a half hour delay on a flight from Thessaloniki to Stansted on 17th April, a flight which I purchased at an extortionate cost that morning, as I needed to get home urgently, and was then subjected to this delay, when I was stressed and upset!
However, I knew that what I'd paid to get back would be covered under EU law. Although I've been tweeting Ryanair as their EU261 form wouldn't work, then I had to keep pushing for a reply, my final response from them 3 weeks later was:
as the plane was unexpectedly delayed, they don't have to pay out. It was a technical fault with the aircraft and I'm sure all delays are unexpected!
This contravenes the law I'm sure, and I replied to that e-mail straight away to say it was a complete load of twaddle. However, they haven't responded and it's now a week later, and when I chased it today, they've now blocked replies to that e-mail address.
Again I've tweeted 3 times this morning, and Ryanair appear to be ignoring me, as for the first time since I started tweeting them, there's been no response from them at all!
So please can someone tell me my best course of action, as I can quite clearly see, they are not good at just paying it!
    Many thanks

Read the FAQs and start legal action - yourself or via no win no fee firm.

There's a quote I like: “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results”.

Read the FAQs. You've asked them nicely once now send your NBA letter (if you are prepared to take them to court - yourself or using a no win no fee firm).

Hi again, I have been on here several times in the past and obtained some very useful advice, thank you for that. After being ill for a while, I have now got round to issueing court proceedings and although I have read post 622 (which is excellent so thank you for taking the time to write this) I was wondering if there is an example form A out there somewhere, what I mean is, if someone very kindly completed one themselves with dummy information, others, like myself, could follow that example rather than ask several questions on here.

I know that everyones circumstances are different but if it stated the usual excuse, say technical fault, would that be beneficial to others? I know it would help me greatly. I have read several posts which are useful to me but they are amongst all these excellent posts and now I am at the stage of completing this form, I have to trawl through most of them to find my answers. I know you will say you can just ask the questions again but I am sure it gets annoying for you having to answer the same questions over and over again.

Thank you once again for all your advice.

It does sound a bit like you are asking whether other people will do your claim for you! Of course, there are people who do this: they're called NWNF lawyers!

I think people on this forum are generally happy to share their resources and experiences. But the quid pro quo is that folk then need to do their own research. I do appreciate that the forum has got a bit unwieldy, but the search box is useful. And the process of trawling and piecing it together is essential to get your head around the issues - no one will understand the issues if they are just spoon fed templates.

Pretty much everything you need to take on a claim is already here - between the FAQs and Dr. Watson's helpful posts.

I do understand what you are saying but I think you have missed my point sligtly. I was trying to save you time and energy, alot of people on this site answer the same questions over and over again and alot of the answers are already on here. however, some are not or can't be found when using the search engine. I just thought I would try and save you all some time and not get someone to do the work for me, which I feel is a little offensive and not necessary.

Some people answer questions or responses sarcastically and this makes the people asking them feel inadequote and therefore withhold from asking anymore questions, I thought the point of this forum was to give advice and not judge!
