Flight delay and cancellation compensation, Ryanair ONLY

Thanks for your response and yes I did contact them some time ago. Their response was that all Ryanair claims are on hold due to a ruling that you cannot claim in UK only Ireland. Bott have appealed against this ruling but I dont know when it will be heard. Someone advised me to apply via ADR but I see that Ryanair have now pulled out of this probably because they were losing too many claims. It is three years since we first applied to Ryanair for our compensation!0

Correct me if I am wrong but I thought the only claims on hold relate to strikes by aircrew. If your delay was caused by anything else you can still sue them through the ESCP process. As they have pulled out of arbitration but that doesn't stop you suing them.0

Hello. They claimed exceptional circumstances. According to EUClaim and Bott websites our flight qualifies for compensation though. Other flights were coming and going between Berlin and Stansted that evening and the weather was fine, no strikes etc.
According to a news report I read there were around 80,000 Ryanair claimants on hold in a similar situation to ours. This was even before the strikes !0 -

I just got a reply from Ryanair and they refer me to ADR :j:rotfl:
Can someone explains what's going on. Are they playing FOOLS?0 -
I've had an update regarding my claim via ADR
Basically saying time is up for any submission by either party to submit any evidence, the next step will be a decision by ADR and this can take upto 90 days.
suppose it will be interesting what happens after this as I expect the ongoing court case to be still running
Got a surprise today, found out Ryanair had refunded our initial flight costs back to my credit card
I have not requested this
Will this effect my claim which is in the hands of ADR
Thanks0 -
Ryanair have now withdrawn from ADR so it will be on hold atm. Please read Vaubans superb guide. To find it Google and then download 'vaubans guide'.0

Hi there
Looking for any advice as currently in Spain, booked on a Ryanair flight next week. (10/01/2019).
News locally is there are 3 strikes planned in Spain for 8/10/12 January. I don't mind staying a bit longer tbh, but I would still like to know what's going on a little in advance so I can make arrangements at work etc.
Contacted Ryanair by phone - no info. Tried Twitter too and all they're saying is I'll get an email/text if the flights are cancelled. I don't want this to be when I'm on the way to the airport!!!
Any suggestions gratefully received.0 -
Check if your aircraft is based in Spain as the cabin crew strike should affect only routes operated by Spain based aircrafts.
The easiest way to do that, is by checking flight history on FlightRadar24.com on the day of week your flight will be.
Also if your flight has early departue (about 6-7am) from Spain or has late arrival (22-24) to Spain, the aircraft is probably based there.0
