IBAN is your bank account number in a format recognised in oher countries. Check your bank statements, it's sometimes on there. Otherwise call your bank to get it.
Thanks - phoned my bank and got it, along with the Swift. Is it OK to just write this information (along with other bank details) on to the Word document, rather than have a scan of it?0 -
Hi we got delayed last weekend on Flight FR9912 from Bournemouth to Girona on 26 May at 16:30, we had nearly a 5 hour delay....
Staff at the airport said it was technical, even though I am aware there was a French ATC strike on that day.
I have filled in the relevent forms today and am playing the waiting game.
Im just interested is there anywhere independant i can find the official reason for the delay?0 -

Basically no, the only way to find out for sure is to sue them via ESCP and make them answer questions in a court of law. Up to that point they are all prepared to bend the truth.
Ryanair usually cancel flights at the 'drop of a hat' that are affected by strikes, so perhaps it was technical.
Good luck. Please read Vaubans superb guide. To find it Google and then download 'vaubans guide'.0 -

Good luck.
Thanx...
I’ll see what they come up with then....
They did give everyone a voucher for £3.50.... at 5:30
Which was an insult in itself.
But then everyone realised that the only shop and food outlet we could access closed at 6:00
Not that £3.50 went very far0 -
I would appreciate some help in understanding what I can claim for on a cancelled flight.
My return flight from Poland of the 27 May was cancelled whilst I was at the airport awaiting my return journey. The reason for the cancellation was due to aircraft refuelling problems as Stanstead airport following the lightning storms. Ryanair did offer us an alternative flight of the 1st June some 5 days later, with one night’s accommodation only, but had to wait for details of accommodation for up to 3 hrs.
Because we needed to get back to the UK we found an alternative flight some 45 hours later with another airline and another airport. We incurred costs for an additional hotel (£160), taxi fares between airports (£180) and £400 in flights.
Since being back in the UK we have obtained a refund from Ryanair for the cancelled return flight to the UK (£98).
I have spoken to the travel insurance company and they told me the max I can claim from them is £25 per 12 hours of delay up to max £100 and that I should contact the airline. The airline says that no money compensation is due.
Appreciate any thoughts on what my rights might be.0 -

You are probably not due compensation but Ryanair has a duty to offer rerouting, even if this requires booking you on a different carrier. Have a look on their website (link below). You didn't help yourself by asking for a refund of the cancelled flight but you might want to consider pursuing the difference between the new flights you had to purchase and the amount you have already been refunded.

Thanks for the reply.
I have not travelled for some 15 years, due to a medical condition, so I am out of touch with all the compensation bits and pieces.
I did review the Ryanair link, but it's not clear what I should do.
Any additional help appreciated.0 -
File your claim through the link below. Make sure to attach copies of all receipts. You will need to deduct the amount that you have already received from your cancelled flights.
