Flight delay and cancellation compensation, Ryanair ONLY

Yes but they told you to look at your travel insurance hoping that you would give up when your insurance said no claim. The fact you got the compensation is nothing more than you were entitled to. Can you imagine how many people on your flight didn't bother after contacting their travel insurers and how much compensation Ryanair saved. Don't be so quick to congratulate the airlines, they will try every trick in the book including lying to save paying out compensation.0

i dont disagree with you thats why i outlined it, nevertheless I got the compensation quickly so they do pay out quickly sometimes0

Lottie,
Not sure if you are aware but....
Ryanair, Europe’s only ultra-low cost carrier (ULCC), today (11 Feb) announced it will increase the €2 EU261 levy to €2.50 per passenger for all bookings made from 1st March 2013
... so they have a multi million € fund ready and waiting to pay claimants from, but they still refuse in many valid cases. Please read Vaubans superb guide. To find it Google and then download 'vaubans guide'.0 -
€551.23 is in my account. Quick and painless.0

I know this post is nothing to do with delays etc but it is a forum of regular flyers so I thought it may be ok:
Flight pricing by "low cost" airlines.
I'm flying to south of France next week. Because of work commitments etc I have to book my holiday at work well in advance and also like to book my flights well in advance.
In April I looked at flight availabilty and prices. i can fly to Nice, Marseille, Nimes, or Montpellier. Any are good for my final destination.
Ryanair had flights to Montpellier, a small airport. Dates/ times were Ok-ish. Asking price was silly money given it was end of season and almost out of school holidays.
Jet2 to Nice, good flight time/dates. Price 35% less than what Ryanair were asking. So Jet2 booked.
Ryanair flights now 60% less than Jet2 as they have gradually reduced past few months, presumably as few seats sold. Jet2 prices pretty similar to what I paid.
Similar thing happened when gioing to Lanzerote in the spring, although we did fly last minute cheap with RA but our friends had booked expensive Jet2 flights much earlier and Ryanair were even more at that point in time.
Why do ryanir adopt this policy of penalising the early bookers/payers and loose potential customers? I can't think of a reason, but it would appear their business model is to attract the last minute bargain hunters? If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

Hello all, new to this forum but have read the FAQ and Vauban's excellent guide.
A quick question. I'm pursuing a delay claim (Ryanair claiming ATR) through Aviation ADR. I am in contact with another passenger from the same flight who went through a NWNF company (EUClaim). He has advised that according to the solicitors acting for him, a court order has been obtained against Ryanair (who defended the matter in court).
Obviously this will assist my case, if it turns out to be accurate, but the other passenger is having difficulty obtaining a copy of the judgment or even the court number (or jurisdiction, presumably the ESCP) from the claims company and solicitors.
Is it likely that Ryanair will continue to dispute my claim (from the same flight)? If so, how can I prove it - by referring to the other passenger's name and hoping that puts the onus on them to disprove it? Or is there some other way I can get hold of the judgment?
Thanks all.0 -
Oh, one more question. If I should get lazy and try to go through the same NWNF company, has anyone experienced any success in bargaining down the success fees on the basis of previous successes on the same flight (assuming there is no appeal)? What if I could bring in a few other passengers with me?0

The other passenger is entitled to a copy of the Order and, if one exists, a. Copy of the judgment although, being a small claims case I imagine that the judgment was ex tempore.
As to your second post, everything is negotiable so ask them.0 -
I claimed using Ryanair's online form for a 3+ hour delay in July and have just received £447.10 - it was quick easy and painless.0
