EuClaim say you have a possible claim of €400 per passenger.
check with Bottonline if they agree download and read Vaubans Guide all explained in there.0 -
Surely if the plane was sound & could have taken off on time, it would have taken off on time assuming the weather was good.
If RyanAir had to provide another plane from another airport & the weather deteriorated, then isn't that tough luck on RA as part of the knock on affect?
Would also be interesting to see if you can track the replacement plane & if it did fly from dublin & it was diverted to Manchester.
Any other planes land at the airport during the time the replacement plane was due?0 -
You can register with Flight Stats (free) and do the checks.0

Much of what RA say will be difficult to prove, one way or another, until you issue proceeding against them and then receive their defence. Their replies, put before the court, tend to be much more accurate.
I believe that you have a reasonable chance of success if you were put your case before a judge.
The regulations must be 'interpreted strictly' meaning you should receive the benefit of the doubt where equal arguments are put forwards.
RA will make the most of the weather situation as it is their only way to avoid paying compensation, however, and as you say, had the tec fault not occurred the weather would not have come into play.
Good luck. Please read Vaubans superb guide. To find it Google and then download 'vaubans guide'.0 -
A replacement flight was not sent specially from Dublin. it was FR534 which is a schedule flight to EMA everyday. Around the time the Dublin flight should have landed at EMA there were 7 delays these were between 8.45 am and 9.35 am. So weather was probably the problem but for the technical fault you would have flown on time. As i said earlier EuClaim say you are probably due €400 each0

Actually according to flightradar24 there were 2 flights that morning:
1. Scheduled FR534 on EI-DCL 08:36-10:24. This aircraft held for approximately an hour before diverting to MAN

2. NON-Scheduled FR12 on EI-DPB 08:27-09:42. This aircraft made an approach and missed approach, held for about 15 minutes then diverted to MAN.

The aircraft EI-DPB went on to Lanzarote 15:39-19:18, arriving 8 hours 13 minutes late from the scheduled booked flight (06:50-11:05)
I have received a reply from Ryanair today that the delay was due to adverse weather and therefore no compensation due.0 -
Do not accept what Ryanair say. Read Vaubans guide and issue a letter before action all explained in the guide. You won't get the truth fro Ryanair until they see court papers. You can do it yourself or pass it to a NWNF solicitor like Bott & Co0

Bott & Co charge 25% plus £25/claimant if they win, are there cheaper firms out there???0

Think they all charge similar amounts and some horror stories about so if you do find cheaper be careful as, with most things, you get what you pay for.0 -
Other flights were able to land that morning:
1. Flybe261 from Edinburgh arrived 0830
2. FR9084 from Alicante arrived 1105
I accept the 2 Ryanair flights got caught out by the bad fog which seemed to deteriorate between 0850-1020 as per the met statistics from east mids that morning: http://www.ogimet.com/display_metars2.php?lang=en&lugar=egnx&tipo=ALL&ord=REV&nil=SI&fmt=html&ano=2016&mes=12&day=06&hora=00&anof=2016&mesf=12&dayf=06&horaf=12&minf=59&send=send0
