Mixed reviews regarding Resolver - seems to work for some on some airlines. Appears that it can work before any rejection (realise you have gone beyond this) but if rejected airlines seem to stick to their reply and no amount of resolvering (sp) will get them to change.
NBA is likely to fall on deaf ears at Ryanair as they are a law until themselves but if you go NBA (and possible court route) you need to go it alone.0 -
The previous flight from Dublin to Leeds dossn't appear to have gone to Liverpool as it appears to have landed on time (actually early) in Leeds.
It did not start snowing at Leeds Brdford until 5.30pm at the earliest (I live a stone's throw (long) from the end of the runway) and only lightly.
I think you are being told porkies by RA.....
Maybe ground crew had difficulty getting to airport on time?
We were well warned about the snow so no excuses. If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

Ryanair paid me. 1600 euros for 4 passengers.
It took Bott & Co threats to get there though. They took a big chunk. Worth it though.0 -

Hi all,
I'm hoping someone can advise and help me, I am currently in Lisbon and was due to fly home tomorrow at 15:05. I received a text message from Ryanair advising me that my flight had been cancelled. There was a link to rebook or claim a refund. The next available flight with them is on Wednesday which I cannot do as I need to be back in the UK by late tomorrow night.
After looking on their website I can see the cancellation has come due to French air traffic control strikes. I have looked on other airlines (easy jet) and they put an announcement on their website on Friday 22nd (the day before I flew out to Lisbon) advising of this strike.
My question is am I eligible to claim compensation as its obvious that Ryanair knew of these planned strikes 3 days before they advised me and cancelled my flight.
Any advise or help will be gratefully accepted.

Hi Pippa,
Have a read of Vaubans in depth guide here....

ATC strikes can exempt the airline from having to pay compensation but not a duty of care.
I doubt you will be able to find any other flights back if there is an ATC strike, so you may be stuck there no matter what.
Ryanairs duty of care includes meals, drinks (but not alcoholic) hotel, transport to/from hotel etc etc so long as you do not remove yourself from their responsibility. Keep all receipts to claim back later.
Be aware that flights for the following days are likely to fill very quickly.
Good luck. Please read Vaubans superb guide. To find it Google and then download 'vaubans guide'.0 -
I understand that the strike might make it difficult but looking at today's flight schedules from Lisbon it seems the only airline to cancel flights is Ryanair. The morning departure from Lisbon to Stansted took off as normal. We managed to rebook a flight for tonight with Easyjet to Gatwick at a cost of over £200 then had to pay to book a taxi to take us from Gatwick back to Stansted to get the car at a cost of £91.
Do you think we will be able to claim any of that back even if we can't claim compensation?

Hi,
If RA did not offer any help and left it up to you to make your own arrangements then you should be able to claim it back.
That may sound easy but it won't be, RA will fight you all the way.
If you have receipts it will help.
Good luck. Please read Vaubans superb guide. To find it Google and then download 'vaubans guide'.0 -
My Ryanair flight from Marrakesh on 26/01/16 was cancelled on 25/01/16 due to the French Air traffic control strikes
They've offered a refund, am I entitled to compensation or is this not the airlines fault? Other airlines were flying.0
