So you were advised before you boarded the plane that you would be going to Manchester, not Leeds/Bradford?
Then I cannot conceive of a way that would be a medial emergency affecting your flight.
First download Vauban's superb guide for all the information you need on how to proceed.
Second, post up all the flight details - dates, times flight numbers etc. We maybe able to look at aircraft movements to see what was going on.
Do you think you were put on an existing Manchester flight? If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

Just an update- on ringing TUI they said they hadn't received the email and we would have to resend it. Then ring to see if they had received it. Think we are in for a long battle!!!
Ok so rang TUI. Hooray they have received this email. They said expect to hear from then in about 56days!!! Is this standard? I consider our case quite straight forward.0 -
56 days is unacceptable, especially as they claim to have not received your original email (really?)
Meet them half way, give them 28 days for payment in full.
Mark your letter as an NBA/LBA advising of legal recovery if payment not made. See Vauban's guide for suitable wording. If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

when I logged into this page it took me straight into the form.0 -
I booked a package holiday through TUI online but was allocated a Thomas Cook flight.
On arriving at Stansted airport the flight was delayed to Palma Majorca 3.40hrs.
Should I claim through TUI or Thomas Cook.
The TUI website for flight delay claim only comes up with TUI flights in their drop-down bar.
Thanks0 -
The claim would be made against Thomas Cook Airlines as the operating carrier.
Reason for delay will govern if eu261 compensation is payable.
It is also the arrival time that matters rather than the departure time.0 -
Welcome.
1st download Vauban's most excellent guide for answers and guidance.
2. Repost on Thomas Cook thread, who you should, if valid, claim against. It's possible TC flight made up time for <3hr delay on arrival.
Creating a new personal thread makes the board difficult.
ThanksIf you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

My flight from Stansted was delayed 03.40 hrs.
Who do I claim EU compensation from - TUI who I booked through or Thomas Cook.
TUI has a dropdown bar on their website re claiming and it is only for TUI flights
