Hello! Wondering if anyone can help!

Tui changed our flight 4 days before we went on holiday, 12+ hours different. I was told it was the same aircraft, just he time I had been changed.

When we boarded the plane it was an air europa flight, due to this , we couldn!!!8217;t sit in our extra leg room seats as the lay out of that plane was different and by an emergency exit. we have an winfany travelling, so couldn!!!8217;t.

At no point was I told this, even on my boarding card it has the same flight number despite on the airport departures board the flight number had changed.

    What am I entitled to?!

You are entitled to compensation for the delay under the regulations and also to a refund of the extra sum that you paid for your extra legroom seats as you paid extra for something that you did not receive. Download and read Vauban's excellent guide. (Google search for Vauban's guide)

It sounds, on the face of it, that an aircraft had gone tec and they brought a replacement aircraft in from Air Europa as a replacement.
Please read Vaubans superb guide. To find it Google and then download 'vaubans guide'.

Depending on the arrangements your claim could be against either airline. But I would chase Tui first.

Tui have just sent an email to say the flight time was on the check in ticket!! Well unless things have changed since I flew in February you only get that when you check your bag in, they then had to go down a flight of stairs catch a tram drop the cases off get another tram back and back up the stairs with a 9 year old in tow!!

Yvonne, it's nearly two months since you first raised this matter and you are no further forward. With respect, it's time you took some action as if you continue to whinge about it, you'll get nowhere.

Yep, time to take legal action or hand to a NWNF. No airline will admit to liability if they can blame each other and fob you off.

    Update from Bott and Co

    "Dear Fortyfoot

We're writing to let you know that we have looked into the current status of your claim and feel that the best thing to do now is to issue court proceedings against the airline. The necessary documents have been prepared and these have been sent to the court for issuing."
  • Hi, we were on Flight TOM076 to Costa Rica 28 May which was delayed 24 hours after sitting on the runway at Gatwick for 4 hours due to windscreen wiper issues. Engineer couldn’t fix the issue and the Captain said someone in America needed to be contacted for assistance. Finally flew on 29 May after being put in the Premier Inn for the night. We have completed and submitted the forms from Martin Lewis’s website - How likely is it that we will receive compensation for the missed flight and the first day of our one week holiday?
