  • Tui failing to honour CEDR awards is becoming all too frequent. Perhaps the press or TV would be interested especially as the CAA doesn!!!8217;t seem to be doing anything to force their hand.

Please a make complaint to the CAA. They have washed their hands of the whole farce and debacle of what is supposedly UK A and EU law.

CEDR found in my favour this morning. CEDR process has been quite painless. Now to get them to pay up the compensation!

    Thats great news, well done:beer:

Lets hope others also get their compensation too.
Please read Vaubans superb guide. To find it Google and then download 'vaubans guide'.
  • I think you can post a claim now through this website ( MSE ) which uses Resolver.
  • There's no point in using Resolver when CEDR have already found in your favour. If you were now to issue Court proceedings, TUI wouldn't have a leg to stand on.
  • My post was a general post, not specific to previous failure to pay.
  • Hi, has anyone ever dealt with CEDR?
We have just won compenstation for a Thomson flight delay. The email I had from CEDR to say we had been successful said it was instructing Thomson to pay us £2400 (£600 per passenger) which we happily agreed to.
I have now noticed they added a "copy of final decision letter" has been attached to our case dated 10 days after we accepted which is very condraticting. It now states the airline to pay us £1200 compenstation (even though my case states there were four passengers!)
Anyone else had this problem? This does not add up to £600 per passenger and I am quite frustrated

    Thanks

What did CEDR say when you contacted them about this? If you were rerouted, there are some circumstances which reduces the compensation due by 50% (see article 7.2 of the regulations).

    And its Euros, not pounds.

  • I'm pleased to say I have won with this case. Anyone who has had the airline throwing you an 'extraordinary circumstances', doesn't mean you should give up. I tried and won :)
