I've been told on another forum that the chances of compensation is almost zero. What's your thoughts? In reality Thomson likely to say no?0

Don't read the other forum.
In reality Thomson likely to say no?Please read Vaubans superb guide. To find it Google and then download 'vaubans guide'.0 -
They probably will say no, thats just par for the course, but it doesn't mean that you are not due compensation.
Reading the extraordinary exceptions such as things outside of the airlines control I'm starting to have my doubts now ☹️
I'm assuming this is outside of their control but I'm sure I read somewhere that they have to source a replacement flight in good time etc...0 -

Thank you, this is giving me some hope now 👍 Wish they'd hurry and respond lol.0 -
You are in the same position as you were when you cancelled your Florida holiday, namely that rather than lose the whole holiday you paid an admin fee to change. It's unfortunate that the second holiday has been cancelled but they aren't charging you anything for this. So I can't see that you are entitled to the admin fee back.0

Agreed, no legal recourse. But I would suggest you point out that Thomson have massively inconvenienced you and as a gesture of goodwill they refund.
Check the T&Cs carefully to a, ensure they can charge you and admin fee, b, if there is anything they are due to you for cancelling.
You could be cheeky and raise an invoice for your administration fee for the cancellation? If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

Admin fees are non refundable.0

Ok, my missus has rung Thomson to check on the claim and they have no record of it. I used the resolver tool on here and I even had an acknowledgement reply but she was told there is nothing allocated or noted on their booking.0

Party of 10 delayed in Crete in June for 17 hours after Manchester Airport bomb scare. Contacted Thomson who eventually rejected our claim saying it was beyond their control even though we had an official letter at the gate on arrival back saying it was because the crew had gone beyond their flight hours and no mention of the bomb incident. Anyone else had any rejections blaming one thing but associating it with another. Also as the crew was not flying does this still count?.. i.e. Clock in and that's the start of their flying hours?..Any advice? Thanks0
