    Really that's great news, congrats.

I wonder what the resolver site brings to the party more than just writing a letter? Maybe they know that you have clearly done your research if you know about the resolver site?

I am now wondering if I should just use the resolver site instead of sending my letter.

Were you asked to submit boarding passes ay any point?

Some time ago, I treid to claim just by doing it myself. However, got absolutely nowhere, despite crossing the t's and dotting the i's and following the excellent advice on here. I am fairly meticulous regarding things like this and gave it my best shot. I then instructed Bott & Co earlier this year and many updates later, today, I have been asked to sign my Bank Details to them. It sounds good news but I am extremely wary of giving Bank Details over the net. Two questions, a) Do you think Bott & Co have been successful and b) would I be better phoning them up and asking if the email is genuine?

Undoubtedly genuine I would think but they will not object to a 'phone call to allay your fears.

Thank you very much. I am pleased you were able to make sense of it. I have just re-read it and something has definitely gone wrong with the typing. It should have read 'I then instructed Bott & Co' I will try and alter it. Thanks again. Sally

Just rang Bott & Co., Email is genuine. Apparently 'massive' payment from Thomsons.
Hope its good news for lots of passengers.

Just had an email requesting our bank details as Thomson are finally paying out...we arrived 26 hours later than scheduled (first flight delayed, then second flight had to turn back!).

Just wondered whether the airlines are paying interest on the amounts?

We went through Bott and Co, and I'm trying to work out how much it might be, as I'm impatient! X

If you went with Bott and Co you won't get any interest - that is kept by the company in part payment for their work. So you'll end up with about 70% of the original compensation award (which depends on the distance traveled).

    Hi all,
    Just a quick question...
Have received my N180 form from Northampton. It gives me a date to complete and return the small claims directions questionnaire. It also states "serve copies on all other parties"
Does this mean I have to photocopy the N180 and send a copy to Thomson?
    Sorry, not done this before.
    Thanks

Yes, "serve" means "copy and send to"

I issued a claim on 18 May 2015, knowing that my six year deadline was up on 30 june 2015.

Thomson are now defending the claim saying
"as a preliminary point, it is denied that the claimant has any right or standing ( locus) to bring any claim in respect of costs, compensation or other relief as alleged or at ll on behalf of another person, be it her husband or another"
"It is further admitted that the claimant is entitled to compensation of 600euros under article 7.1c of the regulation. In principle the claimants husband is also entitled to the same compensation but for reasons given above, he has not bought a claim and therefore the defendant cannot plead to the same"
"As to the claim for interest, it is denied that the claimant is entitled to interest as such compensation is not an action for recovery of a debt or damages"

So as I am now past the six year limit - could my husband now take out a claim in his own name? Or would it be futile? I have seen lots of other people make these claims in joint names, so where did I go,wrong? I feel as if they have right royally screwed me - if you know what I mean!! What do I do now please??
They have sent me a form to fill in for mediation which I am happy to do.
Just confused as to what to do for the best - thanks xxxx
