Noviceangel again trawling the posts, thank it helps me a bit as well as my Monarch claim was a knock on, and the issue was a Flat Tyre! as mentioned in the post as well.

I and a few others who have posted in this thread were also on this flight.
Thomson didn't have the decency to respond to any correspondence sent via Resolver. I'm now with Bott and Co so hopefully they will get some sense out of them.
From what we were told at the airport the fault was down to the radar on the plane, with a new part being sent over from the UK.
My claim was also rejected also going through NWNF lets hope a few more on this flight do the same.0 -
I was delayed 5 hours Birmingham to Cancun January 2012. Requested compensation from Thompson on 2 previous occasions only to be told it was circumstances out of their control. Our plane had been diverted to Cardiff due to a previous technical issue. Emailed again in January 2015, no reply for almost 2 months so emailed again informing them I intended to take this to CAA. I had a cheque for full compensation in my hands within 1 week. Both letter and cheque were dated before the Email about CAA but I seriously doubt they were written before I sent that email. Good luck to everyone else still fighting.0

So, Thomsons 'defence' to court is to request that we provide them with the booking reference, flight number and booking information. Considering all the letters back and forth for the past 16 months, their fob off excuses and now their admission that the delay was a 'knock on' and have given precise details as to the reason why - including the flight number and airports concerned - you would have thought they would have checked the booking references etc before now ! What a load of rubbish ! :mad:0

Boooo...my claim has been rejected as it is over 6 years old (will be 7 this August). I didn't realize I could claim until this year and pursued it straight away but have been told by Thomson and CAA that its too old.:mad:0

We hear this all the time, although pleased to read the delay in claiming wasn't as a result of playing letter tennis with an airline.

Simply, write to them for now claiming compensation, I'm sure they will tell you if it's less than 3 hours...After reading PtL Vaubans Guide , please don't desert us, hang around and help others!
