Update on my court appearance: The District Judge awarded us costs while allowing Thomson's stay. The Judge was very irritated Thomson wasted court time when the application to Stay could have been made on paper. The Judge gave Thomson 21 days to pay costs - by 4pm today.
Marked my calendar for today. 4pm came and went. No payment from Thomson. Phoned them. 'You'll have it tomorrow' stroppy customer claims manager said. I pointed out Thomson are in breach of the Court order and have shown utter contempt for the Court, which I will point out to the Judge when we get back to court.
I saw the BBC One programme The Sheriffs are Coming when they visited Thomson's Luton HQ to collect a debt. The Sheriffs' visit cost Thomson hundreds of pounds extra. If there's no payment tomorrow I will instruct the Sheriff.0 -

Hi, whilst travelling back from Turkey in August we had a 3 hr 36 mins delay in coming back due to a technical error with one of the plane's engines.
I wrote to Thomsons using the template letter from this website and have finally received a response them.
Their reply is 3 pages long setting out various court cases and basically stating that we have no claim as it wasn't their fault that there was a problem with the engine!
I would like to know where we go next with this as to who I should write to etc.
Many thanks for reading.
Regards

Lisa: you should keep an eye out for the Supreme Court's decision on the Huzar case - which is expected next month. In the meantime, have a read of my guide - details below - which explains everything you need to do to pursue your (likely entirely valid) claim.0

The supreme court has refused permission for the airlines to appeal BOTH Huzar and Dawson cases.

Just read on Bott & Co Face book, they have lost their appeal, both Huzar & Dawson:0
