My partner and I were delayed on a Thomson charter flight from Barbados to Gatwick on Friday 16 December 2011. We had been on a P&O cruise.
Due to the delay we subsequently missed our connection flight to Belfast.
As a result we incurred the further cost of purchasing new tickets with Flybe from Gatwick to Belfast at £290.
Thomson responded saying we were not entitled to compensation as the delay was 3 hours exactly.
Can they do this? I thought the delay had to be 3 hours or more. :mad:0 -
It was 10 weeks yesterday since my forms were signed for and still I have heard nothing. Still been ringing twice a week and I am getting nowhere. Any help or advice appreciated.0

Nicey nicey can only go so far with them ie not very far at all (ie 14days) before you point the gun square between their eyes:money: BOOM!0 -
Thanks for replies. Can someone please let me know where to start. I have threatened legal action over the phone and sent 2 e-mails but still get nowhere. Automated response to the e-mails were to allow 28 days. If its anything like the 56 days that's a load of bull too.0

Anyone claiming for delayed flight TOM108 from Manchester to Barbados on 1st April 2012 - over 7 hour delay?
Does "a faulty part, which couldnt be repaired and one had to be flown in from Luton, which took so long that a new pilot had to be flown in from his holiday in Scotland" count as EC?
Many thanks for your help
I was also on that flight, I was told the part had to be collect via taxi, didn't know about the new pilot though. I wrote to Thomson with the template letter early January and received claim forms end of January. 56 days is up at the of March.0 -

Contact your travel agents who you booked with and ask for a copy. I managed to get copies of holiday booking from my travel agents for a holiday back in 2010 in Jan of this year.0 -
