Flight delay and cancellation compensation, Thomas Cook ONLY

It's only a DJ decision and while persuasive it's not binding0

Hello,
I am wanting some advice on a flight delay that occurred in August 2016. We booked with Thomas Cook and they changed our aircraft to Avion Express, we were meant to fly at 4pm and we only flew around 8pm. We wasn't given any information as to what was happening whilst we was at the airport and only at around 7:30pm we got given £7 towards food and drink, baring in mind we had spent £30 in the restaurant already. Once we landed one of our suitcases was missing and only arrived a few days later and to top the rest of the holiday off on the way home tge aircraft was broke again so we couldn't wash our hands or have any hot drinks.
I have contacted Thomas Cook about all this that has happened and they set one brief email saying we ate bot entitled to anything and since then they have ignored my despite sending them numerous emails. I need help please because I'm sure I am entitled to some compensation for the delay and the poor standards of the aircraft.0 -
Vauban's guide should help with the delay issue

delayed baggage and no hot drinks are not covered by EU2610 -
I've sent them multiple emails and they've not replied but when I went into Thomas Cook they said we don't deal with it you have to email complaints, and I've even mentioned about getting a solicitor involved but I don't want to go down that route as it's costly.0

I assume you have not read through the guide...
You either decide to take them to court yourself or engage a NWNF firm who will take a fee and % should you be successful
If you put the flight details into a couple of the free checkers - EUClaim, bottonline, this should give an indication if you have a strong chance of success
Do you still have the receipts for the restaurant? - if so you may still be able to claim reimbursement (although most airlines will not reimburse alcohol if that was included)0 -
I was delayed for 23 hours 50 minutes from sharm el sheikh to manchester supposed to travel Friday 13th january 2012 , but thomascook put us up in hotel anwaj in sharm as the plane was not fit to fly so had to wait for another plane to arrive from uk the next day and pilot had gone over there flight travel time, the problem I have is I don't have booking ref number or flight number I only no the day we travelled and returned but when we got home I did contact thomascook complaining about this ordeal and they sent us a food voucher for £6.00 , now back to real time 2016 I contacted t/c again and it's like they have wiped the flight completely off the system they say they didn't fly that day so you cannot be compensated.
Was anyone else on that flight please help someone.
Ps I even have the stamp on mine and my husbands passport saying flight was cancelled and date, I'm hitting my head against a brick wall as time is running out.0 -
Ppotts - Vauban's guide is your friend - google to find it, digest it then proceed with your valid claim.0

Flight does not show a Thomas Cook flight on the date you give 13/01/12. There is a TC flight the day before but no delay. Are you dates/airline correct.
Flightstats is not infallible but usually reliable. If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

No Thomas cook flight that day only a Thomson flight to Manchester.
On the 12th January 2012 there was a Thomas Cook flight that was cancelled flight no TCX 2625 should have took off at 6.25pm and arrive in Manchester 10.35pm. You probably flew back on the 13th but your flight was the 12th. A Check with EuClaim stats that you are not entitled to compensation. You could try Bottonline and see what they say, What was the initial reason for the delay? There doesn't appear to be anything happening at the Airport planes were arriving and departing as normal.0 -
We were due to fly from sharm to man on the Fri 13th jan but didn't fly till sat 14th Jan, I have the date on my passport stating flight cancelled,
This is what I cannot understand the flight has been cleared of system some how.0
