Jedi Master, did I misread the OPs posting. I was under the impression that they were talking about a second flight? Las Vegas in October?
WAMS could you clarify? Your flight from Las Vegas was different to 2008 out of time flight?

No JP - I think I misread it (it was late, end of the week, and I'd had a drink or two;)). But it would be good to have a full date, not least as flightstats will most likely show whether there was a problem at Newcastle or not. Odd to have delayed them in the States for 24 hours, rather than transport them back to London and find alternative ways home ...
  • Yes, the Las Vegas flight is separate from the 2008 flight. The Vegas flight should have been posted under the British Airways thread, my apologies for that. But quickly I will say, I spoke to Swiss port who operate BA at newcastle and they told me the airfield restriction was bad weather at heathrow.

I'm still going to try and get compo regarding the 2008 flight or if anyone in my party of 18 have already put in a compo claim, as most guys in party we don't see them no more or not too often anyway.

Wams you won't get it for 2008. You have no legal course due to 6 years statute of limitations for claims. don't waste your time.
If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

you will get a response back saying they are not interested as over 6 years ago. Case closed you have nowhere to go from then

does not matter whether it is just a few month late. You have 6 years from the date of the flight to lodge a court claim...1 day late is too late

    Hi Steve1500

Have e-mailed TC about our delay and received confirmation that they are investigating our case and have allocated a "customer relations executive" to deal with our case. This was dated 13/11/2014 any idea how long they take before letting us know if our claim is successful or not?
It does say that they hope to resolve the case within 28 days but i'm not so sure myself.
Did they take long to sort out your claim or did you just have to sit back & wait?
    Many Thanks for your time
    Regards
    Dinky
  • Anyone fancy compiling a list of flight numbers, date of delay and outcomes?

Hi was due to fly to Cancun July 11th 2013 9.15 am from Manchester Airport.it was delayed over an hour we eventually set off 4 hours into the flight they said we had to turn back to Manchester because of technical fault we arrived back to Manchester airport everyone had to get off and wait in the cafe till 6.12pm we then boarded again to cancun and arrived at the hotel around 1am the next day. so it was about a 9 hour delay with a voucher for£12 for food and drinks. I have been on the Thomas cook complaints page and quoted the EU reg261/2004 I then filled in my details of the journey and they say they will get in touch with me, is this all I need to do or should I do something else. Contacted TC on the 11/11/14 they are looking into it gave me a ref number and 28 days so that they can investigate my claim. Not heard anything yet as of 7/12/14 going to ring them see what's going on.
not sure what to do next if they say they are still looking into it

My flight was delayed by nearly nine hours due to damage to aircraft by airbridge. Got Court date for January and TC state they are going to defend ! Perhaps they are not aware of Seiwert v Condor ?
