I'm sure you meant to say "please" and "grateful for any help" ...
Ouch! A little personal, don't you think? In my defence,I have, previously, asked questions,on the Thomson thread and have never failed to thank forumites for their replies. However,in this case,I hang my head in shame!0 -

I'm only teasing you - though it did read as a bit of a demand! I know you've been polite elsewhere!
Edit: I'd just make the claim and see if they deny it arrived 3 hours late. They might have made up the half hour on a four hour flight. You could pm CobyBenson and see what his magic database says (if you're polite!...)

Yes,I am,actually,an extremely polite ( and never demanding)person who, unfortunately, had a slip! My concern, with an attempt to claim compensation, for this flight, would indeed be whether the time was made up,to the point of taking it to within the three hour delay limit.
I wasn't aware that Coby Benson had a magic database! ( how impressive!) and will, indeed, PM him.
Many thanks for all your help.0 -
Thought I would email with my experience so far. A party of 9 were delayed for around 21 hours after our plane took off and was diverted due to a technical fault. I complained via the TC online form a couple of days ago and received a very generic response stating that the delay was due to "extraordinary circumstances". Very frustrated by the response. Am I right in thinking thatI should take the following course of action:
1) email them back to ask what exactly the fault was
2) start court proceedings
Does anyone have any idea of how much 2) would cost?
I will be reviewing the Huzar case in the meantime.
Any thoughts would be much appreciated.0 -
I'd just wait for Huzar and also read about the small claims procedure in the mean time.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

I was on the delayed flight TCX315 June 24th 2013 also, after the same emails from thomas cook I gave up. A few months later I thought I should give it another crack.
I googled, to see if by now anyone else had came forward as I put in claim as soon as I got back in the UK. Now I have found out they were prepared to put us on a plane that had 3 incidents within 2-3 weeks. It's shocking to say the least.
My question would be has anyone heard of any outcome with this? I see people mentioned they were taking it to court, however the trail has gone dead, I was not able to find any further posts relating to this flight. I have just private messaged the person I have quoted but I can see they haven't been active for awhile, I would greatly appreciate if anyone has any advice or further information on where this claim is at now.
I hope you don't mind the blunt advice, but you need to stop worrying about how others have done. And if you think that you can progress your claim on the coat tails of another, you're mistaken. Each claim is judged (literally) on its merits at the time: that someone else won or lost in court before you - or that the airline even settled the claim - has no real bearing on the matter.
The forum, including the FAQs, has everything you need to decide whether you want to make a claim or not. Unless you are prepared to instruct a NWNF company, it's likely to be hard work and require persistence and focus.0 -
I have been in touch with Thomas Cook in relation to flight delays from Turkey to Newcastle in 2008 and they are insisting they require booking invoice, boarding card or tickets before they will even look into it. I have none of the above other than one piece of boarding card for my daughter which I have sent them! Does anyone have any ideas?0
