Do not under estimate " Forumpower " within 1 day I have received a PM confirming the chicken poo turbine blade being wiped clean, allowing my wife and daughter to commence their journey 4 hours later.

Do you want a laugh, in one of their waffleb......ky letters it was stated " The investigation included analysis of historical maintenance data (do they mean whether to use a Kleenex to wipe off the chicken poo or Andrex) discussions with engineers (I think it was seagull poo no it wasn't it was Turkey poo etc, etc) and a review of other aircraft at the time (did your aeroplane encounter any poo...? no funny mine did, but I had a nice snooze whilst they were deciding whether to use Kleenex or Andrex to clean it off my aeroplane)

You either laugh or cry, but as laughter is the best medicine I will go with the latter....

Bet they claim it was a bird strike in that case. :rotfl:

Fair enough mind. If I were struck by a bird at that speed, I'd poo myself too. Or have I misunderstood the point?

No you have understood completely, perhaps that will be TC's defence. Yes your honour the plane was so frightened by the bird, the aeroplane could not controls its bowel movements, and poo'd itself. It had to rest for 4 hours to regain its composure.

Can this thread get any lower....

You seriously crack me up! :rotfl:
  • Is there a pub where we all meet up once a month...? we could join forces and write a book... I say this to wind the wife up because she thinks I am not taking her claim seriously, and is reading my posts. Yes dear I will get the kettle on.....!

I first made a claim by email in Sept and got the usual "cars break down" stuff back. I have a case reference number for that of course which I used to ask for info on the technical fault, not expecting a reply. 10 days ago I sent them an NBA but forgot to add that ref. no. I emailed a copy of that letter to them by email and was surprised this morning to receive a stock letter from them (presumably in reply to the NBA, quoting a new ref. no. and saying they have opened a case and need to investigate. Question now is, should I go ahead with the MOCL next week if they refuse to pay out again, and which ref no. to use? Hmmmm
  • Hi
Has anyone applied for compensation for this flight and what was the outcome? I am currently in the process.
    Thanks

Yes, go ahead with claim. You don't need their referemce for MCOL (as far as I am aware). I would contact them re second letter and tell them not to bother replying. (It would, one assumes, be the same response letter anyway.)
  • Hiya, just wondering if anyone out there was on this flight and is trying to claim compensation. I recently filed a claim with Thomas Cook and was told delay was due to technical problem and so was not covered. I wrote back requesting information on the technical problem and was told my case was now closed. Just a novice at this kind of thing and would really appreciate any help or advice in what my next step should be

I thank all who read this and reply in advance
