You didn't post your flight number/date? Maybe someone will have shared the same one you never know. I found 2 people on my flight although I think they gave up after TC gave them the runaround.
I have it somewhere I will post it. I have just received a PM from someone that has just joined the forum, they appear to have been on the same flight. I thought it was a NWNF lawyer....
I have spent the past 20 mins looking for TC's head honcho as I want to copy my next letter to them. Not that they will pay any attention, but I might mention change.org and MSE. Do you know of such a Chief, they seem to move around deliberately so to throw you off their scent.
I find that the judge likes it when you inform them that you made numerous attempts to extract the required info, you act reasonably. TC do not....:)0 -

But because they will not tell me I have my hackles up, and I am more likely to get a technical author at £1000/hr to write up my prosecution and get the B'ds to pay for that as well.
I wouldn't advise this.
What you are referring to is expert evidence which would not automatically be allowed in a small claims case. You would require leave of the court to rely on that, and there isn't an automatic entitlement to recover the cost of the report.
Paradoxically, a lot of advise the defendant's seek to rely on in these cases would fall (IMO) under the remit of expert evidence. I've not seen anybody challenge this at court yet, but it would be an interesting argument to have before the court.0 -

Mr Cor Vrieswijk is the (new?) head honcho of TC airlines.
His email is: Cor.Vrieswijk@thomascook.com

just returned from turkey, had a 6 hour delay,so have sent template of to Thomas cook, requesting compensation as is my right, given the eu ruling of 2004/5.
The only problem i have is im not to sure about the reason for delay, was told technical delay by one of the reps, then told some form of transport on the ground had hit one of the engines, is there a way to check these flights out and the damaged caused.
If you look on the monarch flights thred, there are flight details, delays, dates and damage recorded.
Thankyou for time.0 -

Thank you for that, the comment was made with my tongue firmly in my cheek. I plan simply to make another (3rd) request for information appertaining to the delay in the first place, with a bit of legalise thrown in, and maybe a threat with court action. It appears like the nvidiadefectforum they only ask you to call off the hounds the day before the hearing, which is OK but very frustrating. Why oh why do we have to go through this process. By the way that was a rhetorical question.0 -
Is it Harriet Green OBE? or
Mr Cor Vrieswijk is the (new?) head honcho of TC airlines.
Got to get my ducks in a row...
Answers on a postcard please..0 -

Harriet Green is CEO of Thomas Cook Group so the ultimate head of the whole business. Mr Vrieswijk will be one of her minions.0 -

I take it no one on this forum is an admin member..? Shame really. There is probably enough gumph to start up a separate website/forum. No I am not volunteering...
The NWNF lawyers appear to have a license to print money, if only they could get hold of the flight manifests....
Back to my case, I think a bit of trawling is necessary. Hey ho CAA here we come..
Has anybody mentioned MSE to TC? Citing nvidiadefectforum to an electrical wholesaler is normally an indicator that the punter means business, and is swiftly followed by a cheque.
You have probably gathered by now, that I am extremely lazy. Is there an alpha/date list of TC flight delays/cancellations, and a subsequent victory over TC due to the delay/cancellation?
You guys are doing an excellent job, thanks again.

Harriet Green is CEO of Thomas Cook group however, if it goes to Court then as I understand it Mr Cor is the man in charge of Thomas Cook airlines. Why not email him and cc in Harriet? Although it did me no favours.0 -

The fact that they won't tell you makes me think it probably isn't a
broken hugeamaflip in the bowels of the engine compartment which might be worthy of an EC!
Do not under estimate " Forumpower " within 1 day I have received a PM confirming the chicken poo turbine blade being wiped clean, allowing my wife and daughter to commence their journey 4 hours later.
Do you want a laugh, in one of their waffleb......ky letters it was stated " The investigation included analysis of historical maintenance data (do they mean whether to use a Kleenex to wipe off the chicken poo or Andrex) discussions with engineers (I think it was seagull poo no it wasn't it was Turkey poo etc, etc) and a review of other aircraft at the time (did your aeroplane encounter any poo...? no funny mine did, but I had a nice snooze whilst they were deciding whether to use Kleenex or Andrex to clean it off my aeroplane)
You either laugh or cry, but as laughter is the best medicine I will go with the latter....0
