Also trying to get a refund to my bank account rather than the voucher like Hilz22. I phoned the number for Accounts I saw in message 3213 - 01274-587943, (which is Bradford - local to me) but got the Legal Department. I got very nice young girl couldn't help with any Accounts no. and said it was all to go thro' Customer Relations - 0844-879-8135 who would then pass it on!! Expensive no. isn't it? Incidentally she confirmed that the CR Dept. has moved from Bradford but I couldn't get the new address from her. Anybody else managed to track down a landline number for A/cs - would be grateful to see it here.
PS. To other 'newbys' - it really IS worth your time to read through the Thread as much as possible. I've gleaned much info for the various claims I'm pursuing - 2 delayed flights, 1 they're contesting; and expenses incurred - which they are currently ignoring.0 -

I have just had a reply from Thomas Cook that as I have not been able to provide my booking ref, ticket or boarding card, they have not been able to find my booking and due to this will not be processing my claim.
I have tried to look for any old paperwork but its just bot about anymore, the flight was in august 2008, I booked online but I cannot find any old emails either.
Any idea if it is possible to find out what my booking ref is from Thomas Cook or should I just give it up as a lost cause?
Many thanks
Kathy
They are just not looking very hard are they? Remember they will do their best to put you off claiming. Tell them you will start court action if they don't pull their finger out. If they want to try and prove you weren't on the flight thats up to them but as they KNOW you were I imagine this would only annoy a judge more should it go to court. Surely you can get a bank statement showing the payment you made to them for the holiday?0 -

Thanks for your reply.
I've sent them another email asking for my booking reference, I thought they were obliged to keep records for 7 years but I might be wrong. I don't have that bank account, I closed it about 4 years ago but I might be able to get something from them but it would only show that a payment was made to Thomas cook not what is was for.
Hopefully they will get back to me with it, If not then I will try the court action route.
Thanks again

Just a quick question just wondering if anyone knows that whena judgement as been issued does it automatically go onto there file so to speak or does it take a certain amount of time ?0
-
Also if the caa have asked TC to look at my claim again does this mean they think I should be paid compensation or are they just sending them all back following the new guidelines ?0

Is there a time limit when T have to submit the request to Court to set aside?
To be honest Mummykate, I'm not sure you are helping yourself here. My advice is to let it lie for a further few weeks. If it has not been set aside by them, apply to have the judgement enforced.
Prodding the airline into a response is only encouraging them to focus on your case: is that really what you want them to do?0 -
I havnt prodding them into anything I don't think it's obvious if they have a judgement against them that they are going to concentrate on getting it sorted as its not exactly good for them to have this against there name is it0
