I've written to them four times already and my last email quoted the pre action protocols which they have chosen to ignore.
I guess I'll be filling out some court forms and parting with £71. Can I claim the court costs back on top of the compensation?Debt Free since Feb 2007 :T0 -

I forgot to mention in my 1st query that the letter I received from TC said ' Investigations have been hindered due to your flight being taken on an airline that no longer exists. The flight in question was operated My Travel, and whilst this company was taken over by TC ( 2007) it was operated independently of the Thomas Cook Group.Despite extensive investigations we have been unable to locate the flight logs of the aircraft concerned, which would allow us to ascertain the reason for the delay.'
What are my chances?
Heard today that they will payout. The Euro was worth 67p in 2007 so 600 x makes approx £402 each x 6 people plus my £100 court fee, so once I have given my bank details tomorrow fingers crossed I am happy enough rather than having to go to court.:T
Thanks to all in the forum for all advice received and giving me the push to see it through. Will let you know when I have my hands on the money.0 -

The court date is the 4th August so I will have to inform the court in the morning when I get home from work after I have spoken to TC0

Hi, I've looked in the FAQ but can't find the answer. I'm sure it's in all the threads somewhere though so apologies for asking again but what is important for the three hour cut off? We flew back from Cayo Coco in Cuba last week and our flight left three & half hours late. The plane made up time in the air and according to flight stats we arrived on the runway 2:58 late (annoying right!). This was something the pilot was very keen to stress as he repeatedly stated that he'd got us there with a less than three hour delay. However, is the delay the time you arrive on the runway or the time you get to disembark the plane as if it's the first we can't claim compensation but if the latter then we can. Thanks for any help.0
