Flight delay and cancellation compensation, Thomas Cook ONLY

Hi All
Got a email from Thomas cook to say please find attached voucher for compensation, emailed them back to ask for cheque on 26th june. Spoke yesterday on the phone and they have stopped all cheques being sent out and doing this by bacs, was told this has to go in the main leader of the holiday is this correct as the cheque was being put in my name

I called them yesterday and left it on speaker phone, someone eventually answered. I said I would like money, not a voucher, paid into my account, they said ok took my bank details and said it will be in within 10 days.

Now my friends in-laws where on this same flight with us only on another booking and they say they cant find their details . They have no documents but I paid it for them on my card, said they will try and find the booking and call me back, Im not holding my breath ?

Thats exactly what happened to me, paid for my parents and children but they cant find there details even though we all travelled back on the same flight, the only difference was we went for 2 weeks they came for 1 week but all flew home on the same plane together. Rang travel agents today and awaiting phone call back with the booking reference number from who we booked the holiday with, So fingers crossed they still have this

To satisfy yourself do on an online transfer for 10p to someone you know / trust put the wrong name in & see what happens

Well done, I received the cheque last weekend.

Well I am not sure how we can get thier flight numbers as we booked with TC online, I am sure they must have it somewhere.

On another note is there a sticky/thread where those of us who have been successful can post the flight details etc to help others following behind, I have checked but i Cant seem to see one.

There is a thread called Court success thread (sorry, can't put a link) but I can't find a dedicated thread listing wins that don't involve having lodged the case with a court first.

There are many mentions in this thread here but still it would be useful to have a list with successful claims showing flight number and date.
