List all the passengers on the email with DOB's and put both flight numbers on making it clear what you are claiming for. I'm presuming you were the lead passenger and it was booked in your name.
I was the lead passenger, but not sure how much we can claim . There were 7 of us on the Birmingham to Fuerteventura flight, which is calculated at 1775 miles each way, and our delay was for just over 6 hours each way. Im not sure of the calculations for compensation , any help would be appreciated. thank you0 -

Have you read anything on here, Geoff? The original MSE article and the FAQs are a good place to start.0 -
A few more things following my recent post on my ongoing court action. I received a copy of TC's allocation questionnaire, sent by them, which seems strange to me as there was no requirement on the allocation questionnaire I completed to send a copy to the defendant.
TC have ticked yes to agreeing to mediation. It might mean something or it might mean nothing, what does everyone think?
Secondly, they have advised that they want to have two witnesses present, a member of the airlines operation team and an engineer to (presumably) back up their claim of extraordinary circumstances. Presumably this in addition to their legal team member. All this for a minor claim - seems very over the top? Or perhaps an attempt to intimidate?0 -

Vauban , I have read through the MSE article, FAQs, the forums etc many times, and done the calculations myself, working out at a total claim of 5600 EUROS, for the whole party . I was just a bit taken back by the amount of this claim , needed confirmation of this figure, and whether iam in my rights to claim this much. Looking back these TC delays caused us so much hassle , especially trying to get home .0 -

That is spot on: 400 euros per person per delay of three hours. But of course it depends on the reason for the delay ... And even then the airline are unlikely to play nice.0 -

It sounds like theatre to me - but who knows for sure?
Presumably TC have sent you their preliminary defence - what does it say?0 -

Their defence is almost identical to that posted by Sging which you commented on - see my post #1386 page 70. Looks like TC use templates for everything, surprised they didn't quote that guff about maintaining their fleet being like maintaining your car etc etc!0 -
I am hearing that some passengers are being told this call centre is closed and files have been lost. (?another delaying tactic?). I had a recorded delivery letter accepted in Bradford on 2.4.13 after being told by TC customer services to send my vouchers there with a request for a cheque instead. (Still waiting for my cheque.) Please be aware and post any updates/experience you may have. The call centre is closed however they still have clerical staff working there and accepting, processing and scanning in letters.
I was instructed to send my request for a cheque there and it was signed for the next day, proving they do have people still working there.0 -

Well as their defence barely touched extraordinary circumstances, on which their experts can opine, I think I'd conclude they're all mouth and no trousers (note to self: is that even an expression?).0 -
For those of you who have taken court action, how long did tc leave it before submitting their response following your claim being served? Do they usually leave it to the last possible moment as with everything else? Their deadline for our claim is Friday and nothing yet.......0
