 Well Done
It gives everybody heart to carry on with the battle:j0 -
I wrote to TC 28/01, no reply at all, not even courtesy of acknowledging receipt of letter. So wrote to CAA 28/01. Not very encouraging reply from TC early this week.
My flight was in 2009 & no docs now. Surely they have a passenger manifest for each flight which they have to keep for a few years, so they must know who was on board!0 -
Hi I'm wondering if someone can help me we was delayed may last year 17 hours from dalaman to East Midlands I have wrote to tc using the template letter and gave had a reply back via email which states that they will not pay compensations due to es so I've just called to ask exactly what the delay was adv that delay was due to not been able to start the engine and the part was ordered I've spoke to abta I think it was who said that is was es and that I will find it hard to pursue the claim just want to know where to go with it really don't want to waste anymore of my time if its not worth it HELP please0

:T:TJust an update.
After hearing nothing for weeks and getting increasingly p&*^%$ off i went onto tcooks forum and vented my anger on there.
!st time i was fobbed off so i left it a week and repeated my complaint.
Result is I was called by a lady from Customer relations who asked me to send further info which i did. She called me back an hour later with an offer of £1785 which she is raising a cheque for.

Out of interest where was she calling from? Scotland or elsewhere?0 -
Well TC are following the usual routine. First letter was the infamous 'car breaking down' rubbish. I replied asking for proof of the EC and an explanation of the steps they took to prevent a delay. Then today I received the second fob off letter - claiming they have looked again at my case and cannot help. I have replied asking for proper explanations (don't expect to get any) but looks like this could be headed to court.
I work for a firm of solicitors so it is inconvenient rather than daunting.
I have found this thread extremely useful when drafting my letters. Thanks for all the hard work and advice.0 -
Well done to MCSAVE and I hope others take heart, the only option to get them to pay up is to take it to court.0

Hello all. I posted a few pages back about a delay of 9+ hours from Ibiza to Manchester September 2011 asking if anybody else had claimed for this delay. but no replies.
I sent the template letter, then sent the documents TC asked for. TC claimed EC which I have disputed as we were told the delay was due to a problem with "paperwork". I asked what the ECs were. Answer from them "the root cause of your delay could not have been foreseen". I emailed them asking what the "root cause" was. They replied "it was a private matter which TC are addressing".
Surely they should give me a straight answer!
The person who I have been dealing with is Linsey Clinton. I was told to get in touch with CAA to find out about the delay. I have read through this thread and can't find anyone else who has been told this.
Advice anyone ?0 -

It was scotland. The lady was really helpful and said that they were now trying to resolve as much as possible via phone and email.
