There is no €800 compensation level for a single passenger. Over 3 hours delay (subject to conditions) is the threshold with the compensation amount of 600/400 or 250€ dependant upon the distance.

I was claiming for two passengers

Well then it should be €800 around £600 so it appears Monarch have paid you for just one person ...... I wonder why?

How strange, I included all the details of both passengers in my claim and included the passports, boarding card copies etc....

Yes how strange ..... perhaps Monarch are reluctant to pay out claims and/or maybe they hoped you wouldn't notice .... surely they cannot have done this on purpose.

Just had my docs through for hearing date, time to prep and sent off for end of Oct.
Not happy about travel to Luton but hey expenses and time off work. How much can i claim?

My expenses were car travel (44p/mile), parking (actual costs) and £90 for half day (3 hours) off work.

Yes. I'd share his assessment - a shame that their claims department are not as smart! Perhaps Batman should write him an email?
