Thank you 111KAD for prompt reply. I was working on the long shot view that if I knew the dates of their cancellations from GIB-Luton during that period I could then look at my actual flight dates and pinpoint the flight. Might try flightstats.com and enter the most likely date and see what that brings up.0

Cancellations are not listed and indeed it is highly likely Monarch listed this as a delayed rather than cancelled flight. Furthermore if yours was a charter flight ie pre-fixed MON there is a strong likelihood it will not be listed on Flightstats. Apologies for being negative however you really do need an accurate date to glean further information and unfortunately a 2 year 'window' is stretching things a little far!!0

Thanks for your reply and advice and I do partly agree with you. However, it just niggles that my flight was definitely cancelled, not delayed, and I wasn't told the truth about the reason for the cancellation so threw my paperwork away. I know it is a long delay - I have tried on and off for a long time to try to find information but just reach dead ends and, forgive me for doubting you, but I can't imagine that there isn't a list of cancellations somewhere. The latest legal ruling about delays/cancellations has just awakened my feelings of frustration. My flight was a scheduled not a charter flight - not that this makes any difference to the injustice just to the records. Once again, thanks for your interest.0

Is there no record in your loyalty scheme.BetterLate wrote: »Thanks for your reply and advice and I do partly agree with you. Or you could issue a SAR see if they have any info on you which would show flight dates. If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

The only flights recorded on my Loyalty Scheme are the flights I have taken so obviously the cancelled flight was on the day before one of these flights. I am almost certain it was during May 2010 but was hoping I could pinpoint the exact day. Looks like I will have to throw the towel in. Thank you everyone for trying to help it was worth a try.0

BetterLate - as JPears kindly suggests you could try a SAR (for the sake of £10) but if you do throw the towel in that is your prerogative however this is exactly what the airlines are hoping for to get out of their obligations. Thanks 111KAB - you are right plus it will niggle me forever that I didn't pursue it to the bitter end. I will follow the link you have posted and see where that leads then, if another dead end, I will definitely hang up my boots!0

Hi anybody on the flight from Dalaman -Luton 20/05/2014 ?? which was delayed by over 3 hours, who has put a claim in ?? my wife and friend were on the flight ,and are quite adamant of the times boarding and arrival, Monarch are stating the arrival was delayed for less than 3 hours0

Information from the FAQs would have helped you.
Flightstats confirms that your flight landed at 03:32am against a scheduled arrival time of 12:55am so the delay was 157 minutes which is under 3 hours
departure delay is not relevant, only arrival delay0

Hi John, hope you can help, my partner and I were on this flight, I have just had a reply from Monarch refusing my claim saying it was extraordinary circumstances. Could you advise how you replied or what you had to do to get them to settle your claim?Just received 800 euros compensation for 2 passengers on Monarch flight ZB627 from Lanzarote to Manchester on 12/02/13. Monarch initially denied and denied, but did a U-turn after being contacted on my behalf by Spain's AESA0
