    MON1874 Update.
Got home from work yesterday to an e mail from our NWNF company and Monarch have agreed to settle our claim before going to court, I can't praise this company enough, everything has been very straightforward they've kept us updated every step of the way and we now have a positive result, fingers crossed we should have our money in roughly 6 weeks.

Hi all any help would be great, just been denied compensation from monarch for this flight which was delayed from sharm el sheikh to manchester on the 12/13 may 2008, they are saying it is extraordinary circumstances which i believe its not, we were told in sharm that we were delayed due to one of the toilets being out of order, i have since found out the plane was delayed due to a battery not charging and this was not noticed until the pilot was on the runway, then the crew had to be changed due to them working over there allowed time, was any one else on this flight? Or does any one know if i can go to the caa to take this further?

    Regards staceben1

Pretty much same advice. You have until 11th June to start a MCOL claim.

Or if there is more than one claimant, you would be well advised to submit a paper form claim at your local court (as MCOL is generally for single claimants). Don't delay, as it were ...

The ususal protocol is to send an NBA before starting action. As you have time (just), you'd be as well to get that posted this afternoon. (See FAQs for template.)

It's Notice Before Action. But (pls don't take this the wrong way) if you are having to ask the question, think twice about starting legal action - because it gets way more complex from here on in.
