Really?
Read post #124 dated 22/5/2013 (on page 7).
This says that the website - which originally took you to the application page - now takes you to a page that clearly says this:What you get from our services that the IPS do not offer:- Application Checked for errors & omissions
- Instant Email Confirmation
- 24/7 Online Support & Telephone support
- Web Site available 24/7
- Telephone Application Service
The same point - that the page you get to after following the link from Google does make it clear that it's not the official website - is also made in post #146.0 -
sorry have to disagree as when I clicked on the link yesterday took me straight to application page which did not make it clear. Not blaming anybody my own stupid fault but it is misleading and I suspect it is deliberately set up like that. :eek:DMP started 1st July 2012

Hey everyone,
Im the latest sucker to fall for this website and im so annoyed with myself that i didnt read the full website but even more annoyed that they can get away with this. I know they fall within the law but for f*ck sake!
This shouldnt be allowed!!!!
I have however received a refund unlike alot of people on this forum.
However... i have a particular set of skills where i can get them de-indexed from Google VERY quickly using hardcore blackhat methods which will stop people from falling into the same trap and losing money. I can't stop them from using adwords but i can certainly stop any organic traffic flowing to them from people searching for "passport renewal" etc.
But im not sure if i should do it or not though....
What do you think?

The link does go straight to the application page but there is still a clear warning on the bottom of each page of the application process. This is written in clear text and in the same size font (or bigger) as the rest of the application form.0 -
I think the point is it is at the BOTTOM of the page!!! anyway just heard back from them full refund given so all is well and big lesson learned.. I am usually really careful and have never fallen for anything like this before and will be extra vigilant in future. I have never said this was a scam but still feel it is misleading anyway not going to get in a heated discussion about it just happy with the end result :rotfl:DMP started 1st July 2012

Hi,
My partner made this mistake yesterday. I saw the site and straight away was suspicious, so googled the URL and found this thread. We sent an email yesterday, which was ignored, then another this morning, which they replied to with the following:Please advise your Order ID ,this can be found on the email that you received when you paid on our website. And is also explained that this information is require in our cancellation policy.
Should you not have the order ID then we will require the 16 Digit card number you paid , Excluding any
3 digit security or expiry date.
We are more than happy to issue a full refund , but we can only issue refunds direct to your bank account. Please supply the following information
Bank Account Number
Sort Code
Order ID
This email MUST be sent to refunds@uk-passport.net
The remittance will come into your bank within 24 hours from TAD Services
As with a previous poster, we didn't actually receive a confirmation email or reference number (just a payment gateway email), and emailing her card number and bank info seems a bit dodgy to me. Any advice?
Thanks!0 -

Hi,
I have just made this mistake. I sent an email immediately, and they won't refund me. What did you say in your email?
As far as the scam/legitimate business debate is concerned, I take the point about the information they put on the site. However, this is clearly not a business that performs a service anyone would want. I am sure they are aware of that themselves. I would feel no moral doubts whatsoever about doing whatever can be legally done to make sure they do not appear on google web searches, and ideally cease trading altogether. I would be very interested in hearing about these blackout methods, and any other methods that can be taken. So far, I have contacted the payment dispute team at Natwest, who were sympathetic, but say that they can't do anything unless I don't receive the service. I have heard that the official passport agency is also very condemnatory about what they do. I am contacting a number of other official bodies, to see what they think about this. I would be very surprised if the response I get is 'you should have checked the small print, sucker!', but we'll see. I'd like to think I live in a society where people who make honest mistakes like these are defended against people whose only way of making a living is to take advantage of that side of human nature.0 -
