Listen mate what do you want me to do scan his personal information onto MSE to prove a agruement
Most pensioners are in trouble, that is a fact were 25% in Austerity enviroment, more cuts to come watch this space. Bet something stops its form whats promised to actully happening and if i am wrong ill apoligise
Thanks
I suggest you stop looking at bleeding heart sob stories that are not true. You ARE wrong.
The Goverment has a MINIMUM payment for pensioners. Their pension may be small but it is topped up in Pension Credits.
I am not expecting you to believe me - so google it.
Also pensioners have been exempt from EVERY cut, including CT conts, Bedroom Tax etc (biggest voter),
You can either google or accept others words, it's no skin off my nose, but to argue when you are wrong reflects on you.0 -
http://www.focusondisability.org.uk/brates-1.html
Here are the rates
or go to CAB, DWP or any other website for proof
A pensioner gets £142.70 per week. Plus AA if has care needs, plus CT and HB, Fuel Allowance, Bus Pass etc. That is MINIMUM without exception, Even if savings it isn't reduced and someone can have £29K and still get most of it.0 -
By god the penny has dropped, hence no need for the taxpayer having to fund Tesco profits
Do you think it's fair the government paying money to people who work for a company which makes vast profits a company which can afford to pay them properly?, And no No Cuts, until companies are made to pay up the Goverment must fill the that gap
At long last, someone who actually knows what they are talking about!
Guilds, your post makes so much sense.:)
This is exactly what I have always felt about employers. There are so many companies out there who do not actually pay there employees a living wage but have also in the process made situations worse by freezing wages too! How can employees compete with that?
And this is exactly the reason why low paid earners are forced to rely on the state to make up the shortfall in benefits just to keep their heads above water.0 -

Reflect on my word on MSE you mean?
Well i rather take the options of a old man who actully claims his pension then rather a search engine with keywords and links from worldwide of blogs commentating.
Real life is valid then some website
Thanks anyway lets agree to disagree. and hope for the best

they did actually say that for CHILDREN related claims they get more.
Do you know that despite the Govt saying you and your OH can live on what you do (and it's £56 pw for under 25's) a child can bring £85 per week with no bills as this is paid to the parents, Plus Free School Meals?
Example - If I was single and claiming benefits with 4 children (one of whom is not mine and I care for as parents are not fit to raise her), I would get approx £2,000 pm in benefits. Plus I'd get maintenance of £1500 pm, so £3,500 pm.
Do you know any job that pays that amount?:rotfl: maintenace of 1500 a month course you could
Ignore reality. There's nothing you can do about it.
I have done reading too!
personally test's all her own finds0 -
are you seeing people who work sat raving a pint and you think...hope you are enjoying that pint i paid for in tax expensive or dole...yet you haven't spoken to them to find out there situation have you
This is what the problem is how do you know if you spot something or someone physically in a pub there not working, what if they have days off or work form home like some companies do? my company do sometimes since we are programmers and developers
You see your taking the Governments view everyone unemployed are lazy gits which is untrue? Most people i have interviewed in my own business begged me for a job when i have like 3 or spaces available yet i have to turn them down, even had one guy say he would work 24/7 7 days a week programming or even a job to make cops of teas for designers for 2 quid a hour to get em off the dole.. Proves that he not lazy just how he portrayed by government
AS more become jobless these companies of big business like wither spoons but it more to do with jealously? if you lost your job tomorrow say you had 25k a year job and was forced on benefits of 120 a fortnight would you like it if society cast you as a scrounger?
As for your question on wither spoons? most wither spoons pubs started as a small franchise and had investment from what i mentioned befor social enterprising wither spoons is more diverse because it made the chain of pubs into restaurants and good mark up on what it had to offer on the business model while other types of pubs and brewery's suffered bad business and still are today, a lot of pubs closed down same as Tesco model of business which took out local Greengrocers or shops when they open new, and broke communities up in small rural towns
But if you want to see how a business runs check the stock market it competes on and the business policy and operations not how how it has been reported in the news
Thanks
By the way it is Wetherspoons not wither spoons.
I'm not saying everyone on benefits is a lazy scrounger who drinks all day long story my expense, I just know a lot who are.0 -
I'll admit thats pretty lame and bad and i am sorry for you to work in them conditions but some people grow up like that yes we have problems but its does my head in when say if i walked into a pub looking scruffy or non shaven people judge other people and think hmm benefit fraud er or faker....yet i run a great business and think its no one else business what i do for a living i pay my way in life and it should be the Governments Responsibly to get people working full time Not companies like A4e who are in it for only the money im afraid in a real world we dont have that in 2013..
But it is annoying when you get people judging other people who may ned the help..sorry for the ones you have to deal with they sound like jerks and i would of rang benefit hotline me self on the sly or invite DHSS for a cheap whiskey

I don't mind them too much - someone's got to do it and at least I get paid! I've done all sorts of scuzzy jobs since I started working and it's no skin off my nose - my main job now is a professional managerial position but I believe if you want money for anything in life you've got to prepared to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in. If that means dealing with scuzzy people drinking all day and carrying on like idiots so be it - I'm the one banking their wages at the end of the day!
I don't judge anyone who comes in but I know what you mean. There are plenty people in the world who'll judge whatever unfortunately that's life - it's almost human nature.
It should be the government's responsibility to get people into work but part of getting people into work is not accepting excuses. There are plenty of people who want to work but a fair few who just aren't interested. Everyone seems to have a sob story these days and I just don't swallow it. You can make a hundred excuses why you can't work (and obviously I don't mean the genuinely sick and disabled) or can't do certain jobs but if you really wanted to work you'd shut your whinging and get on with finding any job and working at it. The amount of people who have had a hard life is ridiculous - life is hard for most people and it's still a damn sight easier than it was for our grandparents! We should have better back to work schemes and more schemes to encourage employers to open up vacancies for people but we should also have a system that makes work the only choice not a choice.0 -

When people in work have had little or no pay rises for up to 5 years is it really fair that those on benefits (for what ever reasons) should have an annual increase.
As you work I take it you have occasionally received SSP, did you know this is one of the benefits to be capped?
It isn't just out of work benefits if you read the list it includes SSP, SMP and paternity pay and CTC so if you are planning a family you will be affected too. WTC is also being capped again not a benefit those unemployed receive.Wins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0 -
