    YUP.

CPW O2 customers can continue to enjoy using 0870/0844/0845 etc. numbers from their inclusive free minutes each month. I still do and I only just took out a new upgrade, don't get charged for these numbers seperately. Unlucky for O2 direct customers :)

should stick with CPW O2! :)

i certainly hope so- i swapped for the 1000 off peak mis tarriff which was a freebie last year with e2save to the leisure 400 package on the 24 April 2007. Tarriff didnt change till 4th May and of course i have removed itemised billing form my account to minimise costs. I hope i can still use the 0870 numbers but of course have no real way of checking - if it is ok it would bne a first for CPW to do something for customers benefits!

i keep getting different information from CPW. i have moved from the 1000 off peak minutes del boy is referring to aswell. yesterday when i called the lady told me that 0845 and 0870 numbers are included within the minutes but 0844 may be chargeable. contract has just come into effect today, i will have to make a call and check.

If you have chosen an O2 tariff from CPW that gives you inclusive cross network minutes each month e.g. O2 250, O2 400 tariffs etc. you can use your minutes for 0844,0845,0870 and 0800/0808 numbers

I have a current 02 contract with cpw, and i called just to make sure the calls are still free. CS lady said that 0845 and 0870 are definitely coming off my minutes, but she cannot guarantee that 0844 will come off as well:confused::confused:

Whenever you need to ascertain something, Customer Services are not always the best people to approch. Most of the time they haven't got a clue what they are talking about. Talk to someone senior in the company to get real answers.

    UPDATE:

Apparently, the charges applies to CPW's NEW O2 tariffs taken out after 27th April 2007

    http://www.carphonewarehouse.com/commerce/servlet/gben-server-PageServer?ARTICLE=MAIN.UK.INTERNET.STATIC.O2NETWORK.MAIN.PAYM

If you are on their old tariffs with Xnet mins package (before 27th April 2007), such as 02 400 (12 month contract), then you won't be charged seperately for non geographical numbers providing you have the inclusive free minutes.

Regardless of when you have upgraded or took out a new contract, it depends on when you took out the new contract or upgrade and which tariff you are on, either the new tariff (after 27th April) then yes you will be charged to calls to non geographical numbers and if you are on their old tariff (before 27th April) regardless of when you upgraded to it or took new contract, no you won't be charged for those calls.

Hope that puts peoples minds at rest now :)

Hmmmmm....interesting. CPW new tariffs are less attractive then the previous ones. I'm on the O2 400 tariff (12 month contract) at £35 per month with 400 Xnet mins and on the new tariffs, they are only giving 300 minutes at the same price on a 12 month contract. You got to be on the 18 month contract in order to benefit from 600 Xnet mins at £35 per month just like the old tariff.

Must be due to the new restrictions imposed on networks regadring roaming charges. Netowrks can find another ways.

I have just come off the phone from o2 as I was enquiring about my upgrade due next week. I mentioned I was thinking of changing my tariff to a more expensive one and she said if I changed tariffs then I wont have the 08 etc numbers included but if I stayed on the contract I am currently on (online 20) then they would still be inc. tbh, it makes no diff to me as I didn't think they were inc. anyway so avoid(ed!) using my phone for these calls anyway lol - thought it might help someone here though.

I work for cpw and i can tell you that we have been told cpw o2 customers will still be able to use their minutes for 0845/0870

so it's true. just had a chat with a nice lady from cpw loyalty dept for upgrade & been told also about this. even if i take o2's new tariff, i wouldn't get charged for the likes of 0870/0845. as i'm very skeptical, she even read to me a certain email being circulated at cpw to avoid confusion on this issue.

i am currently on leisure tariff 1000 minutes off-peak, £20 monthly. got an offer for a new leisure tariff £25 (1500 min. OP) with free SE w850i & £150 cashback, 12-month contract.

Complete lies from o2. I upgraded my tariff to one with more minutes the other day, and my minutes are still free.
