I called O2 today and they said 0870, 0844 and 0845 was chargeable on all contracts from today, regardless of when they were taken out.........I am confused.

I am with o2 discount 500 from last 05/05/2006 to till date and I manage to upgrage Nokia N95 Free of charge for £30/Month for 500 anytime min + 2000 Long weekends min for first 6 month on 12 month contract last week. I received my new N95 at home but my new tarrif will start from next billing date which is 05/05/2007.

At present I can make free 0844/0845/0870 calls from my o2 mobile. But can able to make free calls from my next billing date as well?

i called them and they have said that charges only apply for new contracts and tariffs introduced today, i.e if you upgraded anytime before today or your tariff is one of the old one's, then you do not get charged.

It does not matter if the tariff you upgraded to starts after today - all old tariff until yesterday enjoy the free calls, all new tariffs from today do not have them as free

just to add to this i called to cancel today in hope of a better deal.

i was on the online 500 tariff i think which was £35 for 750 mins & 750 txts where i was getting 50% of each inc in this.

i've now dropped to 500 mins & 500 txts for £25 + new phone on a 12 month instead of 18 month deal which i was on. i asked if i would be charged for the 08702 numbers specifically. i was told i would not be as am not starting as a new customer but instead continuing as an existing customer so it will still be inc in the free minutes.

I am on Leisure Time Plus £20 a month, 1000 offpeak mins. My question is if i upgrade today, 0870 and 0844 will they still be included in my allowance? please reply soon i need 2 upgrade my contract before they close today
