My billing dates are 8th to thr 7th of each month.
As such presumably even thoiugh it is not my fault i will not be allowed to make 0870 calls form this date using my inclusive minutes?
CPW O2 billing month ends on the 3rd and new one starts on the 4th of each month.
CPW told me they haven't changed anything yet and even if you upgrade your contract onto current £35/£40 tariffs, you won't be affected. The changes ONLY take place on the new range of tariffs that are introduced by O2 so we just have to wait and see.0 -
I am on Leisure Time Plus £20 a month, 1000 offpeak mins. My question is if i upgrade today, 0870 and 0844 will they still be included in my allowance? please reply soon i need 2 upgrade my contract before they close today
Same situation, I did 100 discount rather than upgrade last night and was assured I would still be fine for 08 numbers...here's hopingI think....0 -
O2 could not be any clearer on their site.EG:
"The 20p/min rate applies on all Pay Monthly plans where customers have connected or upgraded FROM 27 April 2007 onwards"
If your told anything else by them i would be very wary.0 -
I ordered a phone from e2save on 25/4 with O2 250min but with my old number to be ported from T-Mobile. The phone was delivered on 27/4 and I have turned it on but obviously it could not connect as the porting had not taken place.
When I read about the changes to the tariff I got onto cpw to cancel my order.
However after several (very helpful) conversations with them they have confirmed that as my order was before 27/4 I will be on the old tariff for as long as I don't make any changes even though I won't actually connect to the O2 network until later next week when the porting from T-Mobile is complete.
Obviously when I try to use the network I may find out this is not the case but the last cpw lady I spoke to was adamant that O2 had confirmed this to her and that the issue and agreement was recorded on my account with O2 and cpw. I should also have 7 days after connection to cancel my agreeement if it turns out not to be the case.
Here's hoping.0 -

I am on 125 minutes and 100 texts (old) contract and I can confirm I have not been charged for 0844 number called on 29th April,
29/04/07 15:53:23 08444392323 Off Peak. 00:01:27 0.000 F0 -
I made a short call yesterday from my o2 Xnet minutes to 0870. Today I checked online billing and it WASNT charged for. This confirms that 0870, 0844, and 0845 are still free on "old contracts".0

They are giving you duff info.Calls to NGN numbers starting 05 or 08 are now chargeable on NEW CONTRACTS or UPGRADES.
See their new pay monthly T&C here http://www.o2.co.uk/termsconditions/tariffsandboltons0153
I quote " Inclusive minutes exclude calls to all non geographic numbers (08, 05) which are charged at 20p per minute, except calls to 0871 numbers which are charged 35p per minute and premium rate (09) numbers where special charges apply"0
