Cycled back and forth to town. Made appointments at the bank tomorrow for DS1 and myself, returned non fitting school troussers, picked up order for different troussers. As I cycled I could only buy a loaf of bread and the local paper.

Going to do a quick 15 minutes next, then lunch and back to the paid stuff for just an hour.

Weather forecast today is for NO RAIN! That's a first for about six weeks, so OH did a load last night, and I'm currently on Load 2, which will be followed by several more. I knew the dog had made a little puddle on her duvet bed, but if I hadn't put a plastic sheet under it the carpet would have been in a real state.

Get well soon vibes for Mrs Moneypenny's Dad.

    Hi all

Just catching up with the Fred while I declutter an apple.;)

Mumof2 I hope your DD is OK – concussion is a scary thing. What a sweet thing for DS to say (he's quite correct, of course!) Ah, I've just seen your later post that she's OK – that's good news.:T She might feel a tad wobbly for a bit, but at least there's no lasting damage.

PenPen Re slug…..:eek::eek:OMG....Yuk......Just YUK! *shudders * Oh, and well done to your DS (I think I forgot to say this earlier).:o

Bossy Brewed essence of slug??:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: Even more yukkity-yuk-yuk-yuk. I'm just glad we put all our tap-water through a Br!ta filter before drinking. *faints *

G'n'B has XH not thought that when DD is 16 she might just tell him to go and do one? Silly man! (((HUGS))) for you and DD.

GWS vibes for all who need them – esp Mrs MP's Dad

Julytex Your house, your rules! Stepson needs to understand this. I even enforce this with the dogs, for goodness sake (ie they're not allowed in the spare room). (((HUGS))) – can't be easy for you.

Skinty another spoon heading your way; use it to eat some food, please.;)

OK, Wednesday is bathroom day here.... I now have to stop procrastinating and go and scrub the loo._pale_
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Positive vibes heading out to Mrs MP's dad

No flying to speak off since this morning, only just beat kids in the door this afternoon.....weather is going to be -3 or -4 every night next week so chances of snow/icy roads are very high, so no unnecessary journeys next week....then it hit me :eek::eek: it will be at least 8 weeks before I can venture out on my own for a basic haircut and a lot longer before skintbaby will put up with a 3 hour gap for a colour, cut and blowdry

I had already packed my dry shampoo in a can for hospital as I know from past experience after a section you want to stand under a shower for as short a time as possible to do the necessaries and the gain of soft clean hair does not out weigh the pain of an extra few minutes in the shower......:eek:

so I went and got my roots done and a good 3 inches chopped off my hair - its shorter than I have had for a long while, and I think it has added a few years ON me rather than off :(:( but at least I won't look like a reject from the Hair Bear Bunch :D:D:D (sorry to you younger flyladies, but I am showing my true age now:p)

just got back to nursery on time, took DS to his hairdressers only to find they are shut til 14th Jan, so I will have to get that done - and that will be my only unnecessary (but sort of necessary) trip next week other than hospital.........spent 5 minutes at the "Beach Sea" as DS calls it (opposed to "Boat Sea" which is the Marina) to throw pebbles in the sea and chase seagulls (HIM, not me! :p)

Went into C0-op and decluttered some whoopsied cakes for everyone as a treat for DD3 today - everyone is happy, DS settling down for a nap, then DD2 can watch him while I nip out to pharmacy

In the meantime Fred and I are catching up with copious amounts of tea, anyone fancy a brew for 15mins?
The cold never bothered me anyway
  • Nothing else done off the list, but the dog has had her jabs - unfortunately she remembered the very sting-y antibiotic injection she had to have six weeks ago and the second she saw the needle in the vet's hand (before it had even touched her) she tried to bite him and then threw herself off the table screaming :( So she had to be muzzled and I had to hold her down, which has not made me popular, but she was fine the moment she set paw outside the consulting room and started chatting up a miniature pug who was in reception!

She's now spread out over Mr Minx's lap and throwing me the occasional filthy stare - I think this is going to take some time....;)
