Feeling really scared - DD smacked her head on the slate mantelpiece 30 mins ago and then she said she couldn't see properly. I know this as a sign of concussion, did NHS Direct online who said call 999 immediately. DH is out at Scouts so called/texted asking him to ring immediately - no response. Rang his friend who does Scouts and thankfully he answered and passed me to DH who is on his way home. Poor DD is scared and shaky, I'm scared, the whole thing is horrible. Will keep you posted if that's OK.
ETA DH home and she's gone now.Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -

Mumof2, has your DH taken DD to hospital? It certainly sounds like she needs some medical attention, even if only to say that everything's Ok and put your mind at rest.
Don't be scared - we are all here for you and sending posivibes.
(((Hugs)))0 -
Yes, he's taken her to our local hospital who have a 24 hour A&E service. She's never been before, but DS (6 yo) heard what was going on so I had a word with him about her and what was going to happen. I was in this position with him a year ago when he fell on the playground and kept vomitting & he ended up having a CT scan in a huge machine - he went downstairs to her, said don't worry and told her to lie very still if she has to go in the machine and that it doesn't hurt, sweet little man.
I sent them off with snacks, books and DD took her favourite cuddly toy. Think she'll be off school tomorrow so will do my typing that I was planning to do then now - will keep my mind off everything.
Thanks for your support.Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -
