    Sooooooo I am preggers :D

Very early days but obviously this means I need to sort out my loan ASAP.

I have called and canceled the Fluid card and transferred both my credit
cards with balances onto the barclay card which means I don't have to worry so much about that until 2016.... can solely focus on paying off the loan!

Sooooo I am going to have to cancel our cineworld unlimited subscription saving £15 a month (can always go with Tesco vouchers), will have to cancel DSDs guide dog sponsorship and that means my only direct debits will be my phone sim at 7.50 a month and my cat insurance which i wont cancel.

Can probably pay another £4k off loan before baby arrives but that means I need to try and make another £4k before baby arrives to clear loan......

Gonna be a mission but I will try and see what I can do!!!! :o

    Wow, massive congrats!

Yesterday there was a thread in DFW proper about a 1 earner family which had a bit of information about reducing the costs of raising a kiddlywink. It went a bit awry by the second page but an interesting read.

I didn't realise that you could go to the cinema with tesco vouchers, I wish I did though. Oh and good call on the pet insurance, cats are wonderful but are jerks so will deliberately hurt themselves if they sense no insurance. :rotfl: (I love cats and am totally going to become a cat lady later in life).

    Congrats again!

I would love to be a crazy cat lady with 100 cats when I am older :p

Soooooo I have worked out I can pay off £400 a month of my loan before baby is due.... which means I need to find an extra £4k before baby arrives to clear my car loan.

Which will then only leave my credit card debt which I don't need to worry about clearing until baby is nearly 18 months old.

Soooooo this diary is going to be all about overpaying my loan/making extra cash to overpay the loan before baby arrives!

I did a bingo offer through TCB today which should net me £26.75 as long as it all tracks ok.

Got a few bits I can sell on eBay in New Year but not a lot.

We still need to spend cash on decorating the house too......

Trying not to stresss about cash, what will be will be hey?

You sound like you're doing great!

Try not to stress about money, you have a plan. It sounds reasonable. Once you start making those steps and seeing how they are making the difference, you'll feel less stress.

With regards to the decorating, have you made a list of what needs to be done?

I need to decorate my room too, there's no paper on the walls at all, the carpet is older than I am (and is showing it) and my bookcase is falling apart. I've found some lining paper for £2 so I'll paint that cream, I'm looking in charity shops for my new bookcase and I got a rug for £25. I'm hoping to keep the entire endeavour to £50 (disregarding the rug).
