Adding to my life - Subtracting the debt!

Soooo another year is here! New diary time.
I ended 2012 with a lot more debt than I started!!! In 2008 I was actually debt free for a whil.....
My current debt totals are in my signature....
I did move over to MFW for a bit last year when I joined the mortgage with OH but my loan is at a higher APR than the mortgage and needs clearing ASAP.
So its back to DFW.....
In 2013 my main aims are to finish my college course and get my BTEC diploma in Animal Management, sell our house and move to a more urban area rather than the one road no shop village we live in now.
Me and OH are also trying for a baby (his 3rd child my 1st) so I need to win the lottery really but oh well!!! :rotfl:
Just going to have a look at what to cook for dinner then will be back posting my goals for this week....

Right looks like its time to start mission impossible.....:o
I won't be posting a SOA but my wages are approx £1230 per month unless I get a bonus which is rare these days.
I put £580 a month into our household current account where all our bills including food come out of.
My o2 contract is £21.50 per month. Can upgrade in July but happen with my phone so will either take a credit to my bill or get a new phone and sell on to use cash for credit card or loan payment.
Cat insurance is £9.40 for both my cats.
I give £7.50 to Guide Dogs for the Blind each month to sponsor a puppy for my DSD.
£15 a month goes to Cineworld for my unlimited pass (once I am pregnant this will stop.....)
Until April I will be paying in £250 a month into my regular saver.
When this matures there will be £3000 in it which I will be chucking at my loan (or at least most of it, some might need to go on credit card as one of my 0% transfers will be expiring).
My first loan payment goes out on 25th February and will be £198 and ther term is 5 years but when I chuck my savings at it this will change a lot.
So after all this I should have £160 a month spare and when the regular saver ends I can use that £250 to overpay the loan too....
So its all manageable at the moment, just need to overpay overpay and overpay some more. Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0 -
Got the Sunday night blues so need to focus on some of the positives of this weekend and plan a few targets for the week ahead.
Things achieved this weekend -- Took a load of books, CD's and clothes and a few other bits and bobs to the CPL charity shop.
- Cleaned out my guinea pigs and the rabbits who I were looking after that have now gone home.
- Did 3 loads of washing and some hoovering and cleaning
- Saw friends
- Applied for a job at a vets (part of 5yr changing career plan)
- Do at least 4 pieces of college work (currently have 12 pieces of outstanding work )
- Have 4 NSDs
- Take lunch to work everyday
- Put some items up for sale on eBay or Facebook group

Positives of today
- Had a NSD
- Got an email back from job application with more information/application form
- Paid £50 off Virgin Credit Card
But after I have been tomorrow night my aim for Wednesday night is to make a college action plan as I finish one section of my course with one tutor at end of Jan and I would like to be all up to date and got the top grades in those assignments before moving onto my next tutor!
Trying to keep a PMA up.....its been a bit of a fake PMA today.
My main aim for tonight is to try get some sleep.....not slept properly for a few nights nowNow a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0 -
Update for the week so far.....
- Managed 4 NSDS this week
- Took a packed lunch to work everyday
- Sold a sat nav on eBay (had 2, only need 1)
- Found out college work only needs a tiny adjustment so much relief
Slow and steady.....Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0 -
Going to be a stay at home day today as skint and not feeling great.
Just updated credit card debt total, this will go down again on payday.
Tried to ring woolwich to get an update for mortgage balance too but their automated system wasnt working.
Just about to have another cuppa and do some college work for a couple hours as OH's kids are still upstairs, hoping he will take them out somewhere for a bit later so I can do some more as his daughter likes to chat and for me to do stuff with her, which is all good apart from when I am studying! Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0 -
Not much to update, not sure how many NSDs I have had this week.....
I have put £10 into my sealed pot in £2 coins though.
Payday a week tomorrow, can't come soon enough!
Although after all bills and car tax I still only have £140 spending cash left for next month...... £250 into savings though but I really need to get some stuff to sell, earn some vouchers!
Got an email from Nectar saying they are stopping amazon vouchers and collecting points at the end of the month which is rubbish as I spend all my Nectar points there! :mad:Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0 -

Still not much to report, 5 days until payday and updating some of my debt/savings totals!
OH gave me £6 to put into the £2 pot so thats all good
He is also tiling the bathroom floor so he is in the good books today! :rotfl:
Ever since I met him (been together 3 years in March) we have had no bathroom floor just concreteso we are finally getting round to putting our new bathroom in so we can sell this house! Had a new bathroom suite ready to go in sat in our dining room since August.....
But he is doing it all himself to save money which is ok but definately has a big impact on how much can be done.
Once the bathroom is done we just need to lay some new wooden floors, do some more skirting, paint ALL the rooms in the house and tidy up the garden and lay a patio and we can put it up for sale....
Hoping to have acheived all of this in the next six months.....along with clearing a chunk of debt and passing my college course with top grades and trying to get pregnant.....not asking for much am I? :rotfl:Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0 -
