How clean is your house? Truthfully!

I've actually spent this weekend have a massive clearout so right now my house is spotless.
Ok it's not always quite as good as this but it's never dirty ( or at least I don't think it is?!) and I try to keep mess to a minimum.
I just can't relax in mess. If the dishwasher needs emptying ill do it. If the hoovering needs doing ill do it. Leaving it for later or another time is how it all builds up! It would drive me nuts0 -
Why doesn't she clean the office?
Because I have important work documents, data sticks, discs etc. in there that I do not want to get lost. If I'm the only person who uses the office then if anything gets lost it is my fault and my problem and is a case of simply retracing my steps to find it. Should others enter the office and something goes missing then it no longer is definitely my fault.
I'm not suggesting my cleaner is a thief but it is easy to move something and then forget to put it back, or where you may have put it; for example, on Boxing Day, we spent about an hour looking for my partner's misplaced keys as she hadn't left them in the normal place.0 -
really clean and tidy......... until the kids come in from school, within an hour its coats, shoes and books strewn everywhere
ive five living at home :eek:0 -
My house is generally not too bad but our bathroom is always minging

Like someone said in an earlier post, nobody ever visits when I've just cleaned the bloody thing - oh no :rotfl:
I was mortified a few months ago when a friend popped over to ask if he could have a shower as their boiler had just packed up and he was off to work. I had to say no as the shower area was filthy. I did ask if he could wait 30 minutes to give me a chance to clean but he didn't have time. Oh god, I'm so embarrassed just thinking about it!
I HATE cleaning the bathroom. The toilet is usually clean as I use those cleaning fluid-filled toilet duck grippy things which makes it a doddle but the bath, the tiled area around the bath and the shower curtain......0 -
As we only have a very small house, it's not difficult to keep clean, but as we are 5 adults - finding room to put everything away and keep it looking tidy is always a challenge and when we're all in it looks crowded straight away.Over futile odds
And laughed at by the gods
And now the final frame
Love is a losing game0 -
I arranged to call and visit a relative who was unwell. She knew I was coming etc but OMG I had to leave after 30 minutes and put my clothes I was wearing in the wash!
The untidiness was fine, the interest deco was fine. The smell was not fine! I refused the kind offer of a cuppa:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I struggle to keep a house clean when it is not tidy. How do people do that? I would love my house to be a lot tidier than it is, it would be so simple to just clean then.0

My place is a tip.0

I've known some friends with really tidy houses and some friends who don't keep up with the housework for various reasons.
I do think there is a minimum standard of cleanliness. It wouldn't matter to me if I went to a friends house that wasn't in order, as long as it wasn't filthy.0 -
There is a bit of dust here and there but generally tidy I keep on top of the lounge, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom, some of the spare rooms are in mid clutter sort at the moment though.0
