    Whoop-whoop another NSD :)

Will have to get milk tomorrow, so will prob get my weekly bits and pieces, don,t need too much, but intend to do some major freezer cooking and baking next week as I am on leave....
Note to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

    £300/£130
  • Really peed off with myself atm. Spent much less than my budget last month on groceries due to being broke. Logical me would have thought "I'll have to restock the pantry next month!" and set the budget accordingly but silly me instead thought "I did really well! I'll bring my budget down!".

Assorted receipts in my wallet add to €37.58, leaving me with under a fiver in my budget, which is going to be spent on veg tomorrow. I'm positive I'm missing a receipt for another €20-odd as well (had a large group of friends with assorted dietary issues over for dinner on Tuesday). I've already dished up over 40 individual dinners so far this month and we're only half way through!

Sorry for the rant. Feeling a bit blue right now. Far too many bills coming in together and didn't need this dose of shortsightedness on top of it. On the upside, the pantry and freezers are restocked, including 10kg of wholemeal bread flour.

  • Wow haven't been on in a while, still keeping track though. Batch of spends to report.

    7th £4.18 at Lidl
11th £14.84 at Sainsburys after using £7.50 in points
13th £11.76 in Asda, quite a few YS items :)
Today £10.53 in Aldi - some good deals today including a pineapple for 59p. Plus £15.60 in Asda including a couple of YS deals
Total £56.91 - should have enough now to last until Thurs when new GC starts, might need to top up milk, bread and fruit.

Got a small joint of pork (YS) roasted that this afternoon and now have chicken and pork for lunches in the fridge plus lots of summer fruit (YS). It's a good feeling when your fridge is full of healthy food.

Off to update siggy :) Have a good evening all xx

Hey come on nowI think you have done really well. You catered for a large group of friends, restocked your pantry and freezer and have 10kg of flour which will last you a while. Personally I would do a rough calculation for what the friends cost, how much you are ahead with stock and give yourself a pat on the back.

I think loads of us are suffering winter blues at the moment but heigh ho it will soon be Spring.

I am paid on the 19th, so it becomes a new month for my GC. We are going away for a week tomorrow so will be spending from a different pot anyway. So a short month for us really.

Well went to get bits for DG2 bt got side tracked an spent a lot more th Sardine an intended in BM, still trying to calculate what I intend for others and stock but just wanted to share a couple of real bargains.

Princes Sardine and Spicy tomato sandwich filling, 10p and best before 2014 and something I have never seen before Bonne Vie sweet pickled Alliums 10p, (mixture of silver skin pickled onions and garlic slices) I must admit it was the containers that attracted me, sturdy plastic jar with a screw top that I thought ideal for freezing homemade soup.No best before but its a pickle and will last for yonks.

Both are delish, I will try anything if its cheap enough, if its not nice then I havent wasted much and I have the containers.

Right off to sort this shopping out now
