Think as of payday im going to attempt to go back to getting an online shop at least once a month.
Have been planning my online shop for payday (27th, lol). Can you tell I'm poor this month? Lol!
Dinner tonight is going to be Dominos pizza YUM! (Only coz we have a voucher due to a complaint last time we had it)
Has been really, really tight money wise this month, but luckily the cupboards and freezer still have a lot in them! There is added difficulty as I'm not a prepared enough person to have stuff pre-prepped and batch cooked (tbh I'm a rubbish cook and make simple quick things, most of which don't freeze well). Add to that the fact that all 3 kids are picky but with different things, and its quite tough to prep anything in advance with that, and I've been working OT on Mon and Tues nights (I normally only do weekends) so OH is doing his own thing on those nights (luckily kids are getting fed at his mums) AND I'm supposed to be following WW diet but that has kind of gone out the window ATM!

Sounds like you're having a right time of it siprm
Hope it gets better for you soon

I used the topcashback in store deals yesterday for the first time. Should be getting 25p back for buying bananas and 40p for buying cheese! :)

  • NSD yesterday, another planned for today, and no reason why tomorrow won't be one either! Thank goodness because there is nothing left to buy owt with! Hoping to get some nice chicken on Saturday for our late anniversary meal, but will then string that out over the week, so should only need to buy that, veg and the basics til next payday! Living out of the freezer this week, so pleased it's well stocked! I have no idea how I'd have managed with the GC before having it (it's only about three months old).

Just pleased to be on track with something for a change!

I have memories of my Mum desperately trying to salvage some of my efforts as she relied on it for dinner.

    Morning everyone,

NSD for me today. We are having DR pork chops for tea with mini roasties, green beans and brocolli. Well I say we are having the chops....I'm waiting on them to be delivered :rotfl:

I will need to get some more milk and veg before we leave for skiing on Monday, plus some pizza toppings for the children to have tomorrow night. We are having a takeaway curry (from a different budget).

Keep going everyone, and keep those purses shut ;)

  • Agh needed milk and couldn't resist whoopsie sticker meat (pork steaks), dishwasher tabs and tinned tomatoes. All items on my list for the weekend (apart from pork) I suppose, but I'm so weak and it makes my remaining budget look small for rest of month. I must use what's in my freezer over next couple of weeks. My month is running from 26th Jan to 2nd March (start of next budget) so still pretty much 2 and a half shopping weeks to go. Must do better.
