For anyone interested, Al*i have their starter packs of plants in today. I bought 5 packs (40 plants) of various strawberries. They also have asparagus, rhubarb, onions and a few others I can't remember at the moment! Each pack is £1.99. The strawberries will definitely help our grocery budget later on this year!0

Lol! I still remember when I cooked chilli con carne, but forgot chilli powder so thought I could use some of the school kitchen cayenne pepper as a replacement.

Afternoon - hope everyone is ok this greyish day. At home relaxing now after another busy day, and reporting a smallish (but bigger than I was hoping for) spend of £11.37 today in Mr M on stuff for the weekend. That takes my Feb total to £83.18 for this month and £248.60 for the year so far. I'll update my sig now.
We'll be having steak sandwiches for tea tonight, with fajita mushrooms to give it a bit of spice. We don't normally do these, but this is our Valentine's Day treat and I did manage to find a lovely bit of sirloin. Might as well make the most of it. There's ice cream and some hm white chocolate cookies for pud as well as a bit of carrot cake left. I'll be making another of those this weekend as I've loads to use up!
Have a nice evening, everyone.
