Today has been an nsd. Had bacon, eggs, mushroom, tomatoes, baked beans, buttered toast for tea. And just had teacakes with butter and jam for supper.

Pulled the last of the leeks up from the raised bed. They are now in the slow cooker with the few onions i also pulled, a large carrot and some celery. This will become a base for soups etc. i can portion it up and freeze it and take it out as and when i want to make a soup.

  • I ended up spending £1.28 yesterday on bread & milk, but I'm not unhappy with that. Normally when I'm let loose around town I'll buy something unnecessary but today I only got what was needed.

Today I'm not planning on going out to the shops at all and we'll make do with what we've got. I've taken some minced beef out of the freezer and will make pasta with meatballs for tea. I must keep 1 or 2 smallish meatballs back so I can use it as sandwich filling for Mr KB tomorrow!

Total now stands at 290.70 for the month. I'll update my sig now.

    Have a lovely Sunday everyone.

    KB xx

I'm still in feb budget with £70 of £450 left which is amazing for me. I still have several meals worth of meat in the freezer and the dogs food bought n put away for next month (was on offer). I know its a short month but included extras due to half term so determined to have a good month in March.

  • £52.76 in Mr S yesterday. That did include a bottle of wine, desert for today (we're having friends over for lunch) and stuff to make millionaire's shortbread with for work tomorrow. Did stalk the people reducing stuff round the supermarket but couldn't find anything I wanted. Still come in under budget which is always good! Now on to March's budget!
