Oh dear lord, thought I would be ok with this no spend week until I went into my cupboard to inventory what I had and saw that a tin of morrisons savers tomatos has exploded causing a mess and ruining some of my cupboard items!
Stock cubes are beyond salvation, as is my flour, sugar, bag of porridge, and some other "bits".
I've face booked Morrisons with pictures but upon inspection another tin of the same product don't look great either, the tin looks rusted and is crooked when sitting on the work top. I will inventory when I've cleaned the mess!
Thats awful,I have never had this happen I thinkMorries should compensate you for the ruined stuffand well as replacing the tins.Slimming World at target0 -

Had a goat's cheese, spinach and roasted veg salad for lunch:
and vegetable curries for dinner - made saag paneer but couldn't get paneer so subbed mushrooms and chickpeas, served with a south Indian dhal, HM naan breads and yoghurt. Absolutely delicious!
Looks lush ... Mmmm xSeal pot challenge no 7-# 331 Saved £140 SPC - Target £30

Weekly Spend Challenge - £400 -
Well I did think that I was being rather hopeful with my £220 budget but hey i'll get there one day. Learning to only buy what I need for the month rather than secret freezer stocks will help, as I'm off on hols with about 2 weeks worth in the freezer, but these habits take time changing!! So my total spend for Feb is £259.02 not planning on buying anything else so that's it. Will be back in March with a budget of £320.0

Sweetie83 - One of the reasons I do not spend as much in Ald! is simply because they don’t carry as many lines as the leading supermarkets and by the time I have been in there I find that often I can’t be bothered to nip to one of the others to get anything else - unless it really is essential and I cant think of anything else to use in its place.
In our local Ald! its main down point is that most of the fruit & veg does not keep long, however I have been to other stores who stock is so much better. So at the weekend we get the fruit & veg from Morri$ons
NSD today and spag bol simmering away for later.
Will be starting to think of another weeks menu plan and shopping list later ready for shopping on Thurs.MARCH £62.38/2500 -
I emailed morrisons last night with photos of the tins and serial numbers and they have already replied to me promising to look into the matter and send me out some vouchers! I'm definitely impressed with the speed of their service.0

Another £4.75 to add to my total, think I should be fine to see us through mostly on what we have now with the exceptions of:
Bread
Milk
Ham
Bananas
Mixed veg
Not long to go now until the March challenge kicks in!************************************

€408.82/€600!! And plenty in the fridge/freezer/cupboards for this week. Only one more week to go so hopefully will come in under budget.
Trying to eat up some lamb from the bottom of the freezer. Mince for Shepherds pie and chops so far this week. That's the advantage of living on a farm as I don't think I could afford to buy lamb in the butchers! I'm already eyeing up the new lambs and wondering how many we will put in the freezer! And it's guaranteed horse- free!
The hens are laying again! Yippee! We have 4 plus a bossy rooster called Roger (and he does live up to his name - the hens are harassed!!) At least 3 eggs per day so that's a saving every week!0 -
