    What's in your fridge/freezer? xx
There is a thread on here for feeding a family for really small amounts of money if you have a search that might help.. but echo what the previous poster said - if you let people know what you have in, they will definitely help out with ideas x

Hope everyone is well...I've had the flu and it's now an annoying tickly cough

    Onto spends:

£8.29 in the butchers on just over a kilo of chicken breasts on the 16th
    £5.27 in Co-op on the 16th
    £2.70 in M+S on the 16th
    £1.05 in Mr S on the 17th
    £6.45 in M+S today

So £23.76 in total. I didn't include cough medicine in my total - and being ill has saved me money going out, because I just can't face it :(

Oh dear lord, thought I would be ok with this no spend week until I went into my cupboard to inventory what I had and saw that a tin of morrisons savers tomatos has exploded causing a mess and ruining some of my cupboard items!

Stock cubes are beyond salvation, as is my flour, sugar, bag of porridge, and some other "bits".

I've face booked Morrisons with pictures but upon inspection another tin of the same product don't look great either, the tin looks rusted and is crooked when sitting on the work top. I will inventory when I've cleaned the mess!

On the bright side I have almost a full load frozen in portions, 8 eggs and 18 home made ready meals so even with the cupboard disaster things won't be desperate!

NSD today thats the 11th this month :)
Have one of the grand children today and we have made leek & potato soup and two pizza's, one of which we had for lunch with the soup. We also made a loaf and when his mum comes to pick him up she will be having some soup with a slice of his home made bread as a surprise and then they can take the rest of the loaf and pizza home. Also made two small loaves which we are having.

We were having jkt potato for tea but dont feel like it now so will probably just have a salad with some ham followed by some fruit.

Never had that happen and we have had really old tins around.

These tins are only a month or two old! No other tins are affected either.
  • Afternoon! Just popping on to update with today's spends. Main shop of the week at Mr M and spent £33.93, taking my total for the year so far up to £285.43. Not bad, but could do better and need to start drinking less fizzy.

Tea tonight will be sweet & sour chicken with noodles, although I don't have much of an appetite at the moment. Have a nice night, everyone!
