Really thought I was going to be under budget this month but I am now feeling less confident:o
Got a sack of potatoes from Mr M as we had run out and they have a pound off at the moment. Went in late on Sunday and a lot of YS bread, Steak pies, fresh gravy, crumpets which are all in the freezer and will be useful during the rest of the month but it did add up to £12.80. I have updated my sig and need to just make do as I will need fruit, veg, coffee, juice and milk before I get paid.
Hope everyone else is doing OK. Some of the meals and cakes you are producing look fantastic:)

I've been reading this post with interest. Everyone who shops at Aldi really do spend very little. Is it really that cheap? may have to give it a go. Nearest one is 6 miles away from me but still sounds like with the petrol costs it would save us money.;)DH, 2 DD and 2 cats. aiming to be mortgage free at 51, 10 years to go! Would I just write to them or should I take the tins back to the shop? The tins wrappers have gone black and they smell like they're fermenting or something so I don't know how well that would go down!Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Spend of £4.97 today - Glucosamine for aching joints and liquorice - because I like it plus need it for medicinal reasons - combat effects of iron tablets.
Dinner was HM cheese/onion/potato pie with roast potatoes and roasted veggies - beetroot, red onions and green pepper - in balsamic vinegar/sugar and oil.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Evening all. Hope you've survived the first day of half term! Nipping in to report our spend for the weekly shop today at M*rrisons - I had the two terrors with me, and now I'm 33weeks pregnant (eeek!), it was easier to navigate our medium-sized Morrisons than battle with the crowds at the very small A*di (anyone else notice how busy A*di is on a Monday?!). Even with a list, I spent £73.22 - and I reckon had I bought from A*di, it'd have been nearer £50. You live and learn people!
Deals to be noted include: Marmite Gold at £1.99 a jar (never seen it less that £4), 9 quilted velvet toilet rolls for £2.33 (buy 6 get 3 free pack), and Cantaloupe melon, pack of blueberries, strawberries and 4 pack of avocados at a pound each.
This takes my Feb GC to £250.34/£400. Not horrendous, but not as low as I'd like at this stage with still a week+ to go. Hopefully minimal spends the rest of the week...but everytime I say that, I end up spending more!
Have a good week peoplex

This last week ish budget has gone a bit proverbial.
Off last week for school break and had a rotten cold and generally feeling a bit grim so everything went to pot basically.
Don't think I'm too much out of budget so happy with that.
Will be back on track soon.
Well done to everyone keeping to their budgets :T

No spend day today. Enjoyed the first day of my week off work by getting lots of stuff done in the flat - even better, have booked a wedding venue so am getting married 01/03/14!! :j:j:j:j:j
Had a goat's cheese, spinach and roasted veg salad for lunch:
and vegetable curries for dinner - made saag paneer but couldn't get paneer so subbed mushrooms and chickpeas, served with a south Indian dhal, HM naan breads and yoghurt. Absolutely delicious!Part time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018
