Tescos sell Yankee's "Simply Home" range. I *think* I read on another thread somewhere that these are new fragrances created from leftover wax from the standard range fragrances. I've heard that the Simply Home candles smell quite a bit weaker than the standard Yankees. Not sure I'd try them myself, personally, as they're still pretty expensive.

Encore are the ones that are made from 'leftover' wax from standard runs. They tend to sell them on QVC ... I've not seen them elsewhere. The Encore are as strong as the regular Yankee and can recommend them as tend to be a bit cheaper. I haven't used Simply Home, so can't comment on these.
  • Be careful with refunds. They will try to put it back on your catalogue account so you still end up spending it with them. Call them and demand a full refund back on your card. They did mine yesterday and it will take a few says to clear. Once cleared I'm closing thd account. Don't want to have anything to do with people who want to keep my money and not bother contacting me.

I got an email from them today asking for feedback.......they're not going to lije my feedback but it will be honest

Hi where about have you seen this please? Thanks

Coryton adsa in cardiff , if your local there just inside the door on the right hand side big display with about 6 different cents at $8.
Ignore reality. There's nothing you can do about it.
    I have done reading too!
personally test's all her own finds
  • Still waiting for mine and they've sent me an email confirming that they'd honour the price.

They basically said that they're gonna stop emailing me about this order now and if I want an update I need to check my online account. The payment was taken on the 3rd...bit of a joke!

    Hi,
I dont know what is happening.
I placed an order that morning for 4 candles then later on that afternoon I placed another order for another 4 candles.

2 days later I had the phone call about the price mistake and would I like to choose which one I would like so I chose one, Due for delivery in February.

I haven't bothered checking online because I knew that it wouldn't be dispatched for weeks yet. Today I had a message on my phone saying that there was a delay is dispatching orders so I checked online to find that they have dispatched all 4 candles from my first order?!? due for delivery 24 Jan and my second order has all my candles cancelled apart from the one I requested.
Does this mean I am getting all the candles from my 1st order? I will be so happy If it does.
I would recommend checking online to see what is happening.
  • hi, sorry to ask this, ordered some of the candles at £8 on 1/1/13,had no contact from littlewoods to cancel order.recieved email on 12/1/13 to say items have been dispatched but only one has arrived, contacted littlewoods and they have cancelled rest of order.
Is this correct or is contract binding once they have dispatched candles?

All I could find on their website was this

    Order Acceptance
Your order will be accepted by us, and a contract will then be formed between us, when we despatch the goods to you.

    Hope this helps :)
  • Well, stood my ground and looks like Littlewoods have backed down, my Yankee candles have just arrived in the post with the invoice showing £8 per item, result i think.

I cancelled the candles and the very and littlewoods accounts.... They can stick it! Would rather pay the extra £1.00 and get them from clintons or outlets.
It has annoyed me as it has effected my credit rating having those accounts!
