Rufus- that's beautiful.. What a great outfit and accessories .
Money penny , I can bond with you on that. For my entire life I have called my cousin alf... It's not his name at all. Everyone knows I call him alf and one of my twins when little said that's not alf, alf has red hair ...
On hearing this my auntie went upstairs I fetched a photo. It was like a watercolour of a young boy about 12-13 with red hair and called Alfred . He fell off the back of a coal wagon and died as a teenager... He was my uncle I knew nothing about ...
Well I had £56 on the lottery so pleased with that.
Kitchenbunny- I too am making things this year and have already started... Sad isn't it. I'm persevering with knitting and xstitch but I'm very very slow and hopeless at it... I can turn my hand to everything but sewing and knitting beats me every time .
Angela- I'm allergic to opium.. That sounds bad lol. .. I can't take any painkillers. And the few that haven't got opium in got caffeine in and I'm allergic to that too... They didn't find out until my late 30's , so just shows allergy s can come on anytime.
I been making ribbon necklaces today , I blame Katie for that.. I have a million things to do but am easily distracted by Pinterest ..Challenge 2018 - Learn by heart the Book by Wayne Morgan on Amazon - Betfair Football Trading as it helps to supplement my small income :beer:0 -
Wow, well done on the lottery Susan. I still done know what to make people for Christmas this year. Thinking bags may be but most of them had bags last year so not sure they would want another one although it would be different0

I had a thought..... Ages ago I saw an idea of using an old hardback book to make a clutch bag. You remove the pages, line with fabric, add clasp of some sort... I want to do this for a friend who loves poetry and has quirky accessories just got to get the bits and work out how to do it!Sealed Pot Challenge - No. 117

We have tried to be gentle, as Miss hoodie and me taking a little Easter break so wouldn't be fair to make you do too much work!!
Santas Challenge - MARCH
-Prescriptions-
Next Sunday is Easter Sunday - so that means no GP service,Fri to Mon (unless you have a walk in NHS nearby) - then trying to get anappointment is like gold dust. So if you need a prescription check in the nextday or so, to allow your turnaround by Thursday
-Easter Eggs-
The shops are now starting to out do each other with offers- Home Bargains - 16 Cadburys Eggs £1, plus offers on mini eggs, mini carameleggs, Caramel Bunny
-£2 Challenge-
We've had some brilliant entries for the £2 challenge, fromSusan with her lucky lottery ticket, to Sugar Spun with her icr-cream, keepthose £2 treats coming in Miss Hoodie choose the winner before Mays SantaChallenge
-Summer - Sun Tan Lotion-
This may not be the weather, but a good idea, to see whetheryou have any or need any more. Generally rule of thumb is sun-tan lotion canlast 2 years provided kept cool. What I do is when we go out is pop a suntanlotion in with a lunchbox (keeps it cool - doesn't take too much room).
-Spring Cleaning-
Yes it is our favourite time of the year - so any tips onmaking it easier spread the word. - Bar shut the door and do it again!!
-Miss Hoodies Corner-
The part we all love - shes called this "DustCollectors" - do you find yourself with a hoard of DVDs that you neverwatch, - a stack of CDs that were great but you have transferred the music toMP3 / Ipods, books, ??????? So whether you see if you can sell them, (moneymagpie dvds/cds), ready for carboot or the charity shop, - see what surprisesturns up.
If you don't have a big collection or there already neat andtidy - then pick a room/ wardrobe / chest of draws etc -somewhere that tends tohave everything chucked in and not really sorted..........
Last but not least -Challenge No 2 -
As we've extended the £2 challenge - thought we could have a2nd one who finds the oddest item in their hoard - there be a little prize.
As always treat it as a pick and mix, we're not really going to crack the whip! xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
